Amazing! The views were wonderful and well worth the effort to get to them. Our guide, Paddy, was fabulous, did all he could to manage a very diverse group in terms of fitness, and get us all safely from point to point, and that everyone in the group enjoyed themselves, as well as finding the best places for ice cream along the way. He also managed a difficult start, thanks to the rockslides in Courmayeur, and found a beautiful alternative route that we all enjoyed very much (possibly more than the planned route.) The refuges were as expected, clean but cramped, and it was nice to find two with bunk beds for a change. The food was good, and I really appreciated the efforts they made to deal with my dietary requests (vegetarian and gluten free) I would say, however, that the description of the trip as being suitable for beginners is very misleading, it’s really not. Participants need to be fit, and either doing regular significant physical activity (like running) or experienced or regular hill walkers.

Totally recommend. Make sure you are fit. The fitter you are the more you will enjoy the experience. The guide (Paddy) was great. Be prepared for communal refuge dorms.

This was a great trip, loved the routes, the hikes and the scenary each day! The general feeling is that the trip description on Skyhook was making it sound a lot less challenging than it actually was. Managed just fine and loved the challenge, but could've prepared better if the description was a little more accurate and technical (how many km are we going each day, steepness, climbs vs descents etc).

Loved it. Accommodation and food was very basic but expected this so no complaints only to say more protein at breakfasts. Paddy out guide--AA rating The difficulties of the routes were misleading on your website and everyone in our group agreed --they were far far tougher to climb than expected. The fitness level expected should be highlighted more on your website.

Thank you for organising the TMB 4 day hike in August. Our guide Jerome was really great, enthusiastic, friendly, experienced and knowledgeable in the local geography, flora and fauna. He also kept us safe throughout the mountain route, and catered for each individuals walking rhythm. The refuges were great rest and refresh spots, with hearty nourishing food, and good shower facilities (how important!!). The lunch packs were also very tasty and nourishing. I really enjoyed this trip, and just wish it was longer… so I’ll be in touch to organise the longer 10 day TMB trip in 2023! Merci beaucoup, au revoir, Ashley

Jerome, our guide, was caring, entertaining and communicated his wealth of knowledge very well. It was with natural ease that he passed on his passion for the mountains and the Mont Blanc area in particular. The hostels/ lodges were great and the food plentiful and tasty. Regarding transport, I would have liked more visible information about getting back to Chamonix from Courmayeur.

I completed this trip last year and I really enjoyed it. The camp was right next to the river. Dinner was served at a small table on the river bank bathed in the soft glow of the sunset. The first morning of waking up was like being in heaven. The sound of the river, fresh clean air and peacefulness. By 9am there was a healthy bustle of people pulling out their kayaks and helping each other to get onto the water. The teams were staggered to make sure we got to enjoy the natural beauty of the river but there were times in the first 30 mins of the trip that kayaks bumped together & we had to hold back but this was soon resolved by the raftek guys. Its run by a small team and all were friendly and welcoming. In August the river was low and gentle but other times of the year it is said to be more challenging. I liked the slower pace because I got the time to take in the scenery which is breathtaking. It is an absolutely beautiful area. The camp is rugged and basic but that offered a nicer feel as the whole trip felt like getting back to the roots of nature and reminded me of a much simpler time experienced in childhood. I extended my stay to have time in Zadar and met a friend who went to split and I also visited the waterfalls in Krka and the national park. All of which were incredible but my two favourite moments in the 12 day trip were this camping trip and spending time in the old town in Zadar buy there were so many great experiences!!

What a weekend and what a challenge. I don't think we'd of made it under 24 hours without our guide Darren. And what a guide. Professional, knowledgable and kept us update throughout the weekend regarding timings, schedule etc. Pushed us when we needed it, looked after everyone equally. The driver Sean, was also an integral part of the team, also keeping us on schedule as much as possible. How this team does this throughout the summer, week in, week out is incredible. Hats off to them all. If you are thinking of doing this challenge, make sure you're fit and determined. It's tough, tougher than the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Eight of us started it but only 6 of us finished it. Oh, and ask for Darren as your guide :-)

Hi ya, Cecelia is a fabulous guide and deserves maximum credit. I would love to do another guided trip with her. A few points, we did not need to bring our swimming gear as there is not a " real" proper plan to go for a swim which was disappointing. You definitely need to bring light flip flops, I regretted not having a pair with me. The food on our second night was lovely, many thanks.

The whole trip was fantastic and a wonderful experience to share with a great group of people. The trip represents excellent value for money and the accommodation while being basic was a welcome site at the end of the day hike. Alp adventure were very well organised, everything worked like clockwork, eg: the shuttle bus pickup/drop offs. Our guide Cecilia is fantastic, very knowledgeable and you felt in safe hands. She kept up a good pace for the group while keeping a look out for people who needed a bit of support. I would fully recommended this trip. It would be helpful to advise flip-flops for huts as these are a must have and it would be helpful to point out potential mobile phone costs in switzland as one member of the team clocked up a £50 bill with out realising. Thankyou Alpadventure

I have just completed the highlights tour du Mont Blanc with my wife and it was fantastic from beginning to end. This was our first multi day trek and we went with plenty of trepidation. We did not know what to expect and was unsure how hard or enjoyable it would be. We spent ages looking at the information provided and pawed over many reviews before taking the plunge. Having now completed it, I think the information provided by Tom was spot on. So with loads of hindsight, this is my thoughts. Yes, you should be fit as every day is tough walking up to 8 hours per day either up or downhill with a pack. However, the trail is easy to walk across, as long as you are generally steady on your feet (I am 56 and was fine) and you do some long training walks with your pack. We were part of a group of 14 and I feel very lucky/privileged to have been part of such a fantastic group of like minded people, out to have fun, enjoy the experience whilst being so kind and considerate to everybody. It is not a race and should not be treated as a race/competition, but more as a tough leisurely stroll. It is a fantastic opportunity to experience the great outdoors and especially the wonderful all day long stunning varied views of the Alps that change daily along the route. Of course this is not a "luxury" holiday in terms of comfort, but it is "luxury" in terms of experience! The huts can be basic, but are enjoyable and should be considered as part of the experience. You should not be choosing this holiday for the huts, they are simply there to allow you to wash/change, eat, drink and rest before spending another amazing day in the Alps. They are clean, comfortable, have decent food/drink and are friendly. Another very important part of this trip was our guide Cecilia. Wow, I never realised how important this role could be. Cecilia was a super organised, ultra friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional guide. Nothing was left to chance and the detailed planning enabled everybody else to just relax, follow and enjoy without any stress or worry. Her attention to detail was second to none. All of this can not be underestimated and really sets the tone to create an amazing enjoyable holiday for all! So follow the guidance provided, "light really is right", enjoy the experience and try and make sure that everyone else enjoys the experience! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Had a fantastic time on the Tour du Mont Blanc. It was a challenging trek, however made possible from following the recommendations incorporating hills with packs as part of pre training preparation. We were professionally guided by the wonderful Cecilia who got us where we needed to be when we needed to be there. Even pre booking a fabulous lunch that was awaiting our arrival between walks! A fantastic guide with extensive knowledge and a real passion for her job. We were part of a large group where we met as strangers but left as friends. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, just make sure your prepared for the ascents and descents. Clean and comfortable dorms, good food, Fantastic experience. Now trying to decide what we could do next…..

My husband and I did this hike and would recommend you take on this challenge. The team at Skyhook were fantastic and our guide Omar couldn’t have done enough for us. From our chef to the guide everything was so well organized and there was no unclear information given we were always told what was happening next. The group was small for our booking, 6 of us and we all got on so well and we made friends for life from Switzerland, China, Ireland etc, we are already planning our next adventure with Skyhook together. An experience we will never forget and one that has the personal touch and gave us the confidence that we were in professional hands and our safety was their priority. Well done to all the team and our group. Thank you, Eimear & Pearse

The scenery was pretty and our guide Mas was lovely. Not convinced this is a trip for beginners with no experience nor easy paddling. When the rain and wind and the tide is against you it’s 6 hours non-stop battling. Some of our group needed towing on the last day. There isn’t anywhere proper to get changed and arrange your bags for flying on the last day. Just a basement accessed by a muddy field or strip down on the owners porch. The hike day fails to mention the 20 minute scramble up a hillside to a road with no path and it’s quite dangerous hauling yourself up with ropes.

Well, where do I start? I was met by our guide Tom at the train station promptly as promised. He is very friendly while remaining professional. We (myself and the rest of the group) where transported to the accommodation - which was outstanding - settled in and shown to the pool. After a swim and time to get ready we all ate dinner together, again guys honestly, the food is exceptional. (3 course meal) We where given our Via Ferrata equipment and instructions on how to use it, before retiring the the night. The next morning, prompt and in great spirits we were transported, in 2 groups by Tom and Steve - another first-class guide - to a local bakery to collect lunch to take, then onto the first VF. This was my very first ever Via Ferrata, and my first experience of such a trip alone abroad. I got so much more than I expected out of the trip, I'm completely hooked and can't recommend this high enough. I have struggled to find the words to express how amazing the experience has been. Thank you Skyhook for putting me with Alps Adventures.ch would give a 10 star review if possible. Mandy Norton.

After a short flight from London and a 2 hrs train trip from GVA looking at the lakes and mountains along the way I arrived at Martigny train station which was the pick up point for the adventure. Tom, our guide greeted myself and 3 others with a big smile (half the group) and took us to our accommodation just a short drive away. Lovely hostel/campsite set up with fabulous food, pool, crazy golf and friendly staff. After dinner we were introduced to our Via Ferrata equipment and tried it on for size. We all retired for a early night.......for an early breakfast the next day and a short trip to the first VF. Steve, another guide was introduced to us and we all headed for the bakery for our lunch baguette. This was my first VF and absolutely loved it. I traveled on my own and enjoy meeting new people. Everybody was very friendly and for many of them it was their first VF too. Thank you Tom and Steve from Alps Adventures and Skyhook for making it possible. I hope to do more in the future and will get my own kit Greg Williams

Amazing adventure. Very well organised. Our host's were truely brilliant. We always felt safe and very comfortable with Alex and Sean. All of the people in our team had varying levels of experience and Alex and Sean made sure they pitched the kayaking experience to their level. They made the holiday a special and unique adventure for each one of us. The food for breakfast and lunch was tasty and satisfying. Although the website says to take plenty of snacks, we never needed them. The bell tents were comfortable and spacious and the campsite met all of our requirements. There was a mess tent with a few power points, along with a small fridge and kettle. We had a fire pit in the evening which was an absolute bonus. There are a few pubs within walking distance, approx 25mins if you are a keen walker. But there is more choice for food in the surrounding towns and villages but you would need a car. There was a bus stop outside the campsite entrance but never investigated this option. Alex and Sean went above and beyond which made the whole trip unique and special. Thank you.

I had the best time on my recent hike lead by Ben. Ben’s ability to support everyone, regardless of previous experience and fitness level, was admirable. Dear Skyhook, An overall very positive experience. Met lots of nice people, some of us will definitely stay in touch. Our guide Ben was very nice and cared for us like a protective mum :-) Regarding my expectations for the trip and how it really happened, I must say I was surprised how hard it was and how many ups and downs of mountains we made. Reading the description of the hiking tour, I expected really to ascend the first day (touch), then stay up high in the mountains and use more transversal paths, but we went all the way down to river level on the second day and all the way up to 2500 m altitude and then down the other side of the mountain to river level. On third day, all the way up again and down at the other side of a mountain. I didn't expect that really and my feet and knees neither. I am a fit person and I really did my best, even walking with a bleeding heal from a huge blister on day 3. I think the description wasn't clear enough about all these ascents, descents, ascents.... If possible I would far more have preferred to stay up high in the mountain on day 2 and 3 and then descent on day 4 but I guess it is not possible given the topography of the area, the refuges available etc. ? I will not do an alp trip again I am not made for mountains but I liked very much the group spirit and our kind guide Ben. I don't know if you organize hiking trips to for instance Scotland but with less ascents and descents, Ben might be interested in seeing our group again in that case. Kind regards, Eva

This is definitely one of the best things to do in Morocco. The climb up Mt. Toubkal was really fun and Mustapha made sure that we had plenty of stops. Once you get to the top the view is beautiful. The trip to the Sahara Desert was also really fun. Mohamed and Mustapha knew all the best places to stop and visit, and where to get the best photos. The Berber Camp in the Sahara desert is also really nice. Both Mohamed and Mustapha were really friendly throughout the trip and even told me the best places to visit in Marrakech. Very good, well organized and the guide and the driver were very nice to us. Hotels and restaurants were much more than expected, very good quality. I would improve the communication though. Some activities were not fully described and turned out to be far away from the reality (snorkeling day was simply a day at the beach). Also, no additional info from the guide the day of the activities, and sometimes it turned out to be bad handled while a good communication on what to expect would have helped a lot. Besides this, which is a point to improve, the experience was amazing and we had great days. Recommended for sure.

Excellent trip. Not so demanding that it became an endurance test but still challenging and very satisfying. The scenery was stunning and everything well organised. The pit stops during the day were all excellent. The accommodation started out on a pretty basic level. On night 1 it was a dormitory for about 14, timed showers that needed a token to use and breakfast with plastic bowls but it became less basic thereafter. Our guide, christelle was really brilliant. She was very knowledgeable and very likeable and made sure everybody in the group felt included. Couldn’t fault her at all. A great trip.

Tour Du Mont Blanc with Christel was the best experience. Wow, where did you find her!! I have had the pleasure to meet fantastic guides through walking but her attention to detail and the way she supported me all way up was exemplary. I am so glad I went and I will be booking again. The accommodation was fantastic too. Just one point to note, I think it would be good to detail that it is not for a beginner and that a lot of pre-training has to go into it before you start. Thank you Skyhook and for all your support through COVID times and the many date changes!!

A good but challenging trip with a fun group. Competent guiding with decent kit provided. Portaging and camping skills are as much a part of this adventure as the canoe paddling is. Excellent five days with a great group of people. The trip was challenging enough to feel like a real achievement but not out of reach for anyone with reasonable fitness, a bit of determination and a sense of humour and adventure. The equipment was fit for purpose and any issues quickly put right. This isn’t a luxury glamping holiday and you should be prepared to muck in and work as a team. The food is great and plentiful and we quickly grew to love the snack barrel! Chucky and Lizzie were brilliant, knowledgeable guides and focused on making sure everyone got what they wanted out of the trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and am looking forward to future trips with these people.

Our trip to the High Atlas Mountains was a superb experience thanks to the Atlas vertical team, in collaboration with Sky hook. Our accommodation was an ideal start and finish to the trek, with a roof top terrace giving great views of Imil and the first stages of the trek. Our guide, Lachine was amazing, having the ablility to adapt the pace for us perfectly, gaging our experience, fitness and vision to ensure we had the best experience possible including a perfectly timed summit approach, arriving at the top of Toubkal 10 minutes before sunrise. The result was a clear summit (we were the first up that day 😄) and some spectacular views. We were looked after extremely well from start to finish and I would like to thank our guide, mule handler and Riad host, also to skyhook for their professional approach and for providing a a very reasonably priced package and value for money summit attempt of Mt Toubkal. We will be back!

At first I was a little apprehensive, travelling as a solo is always a little daunting and as the driver at Geneva airport appeared to be working to different instructions and timings, it became quite clear that there is confusion on some of the literature published on the Skyhook website. We then met Ben, our guide, at Vert Lodge and my fears immediately eased. Ben was really helpful and clearly knowledgeable, ensuring we were correctly packed and prepared for our days ahead. Due to the delays at the Mont Blanc tunnel the journey was a little tedious but we used that time as an opportunity to get to know each other I think the guide makes the trip a success or a failure and Ben certainly made the trip a huge success, he is professional, warm, friendly, caring, supportive and has a real skill of ensuring everyone was enjoying their own personal experience as well as creating a fantastic team spirit, not easy to do from a leadership perspective, we learnt lots too! Ben gave those that wanted a challenge the opportunity and also supported everyone in the team when the going got tough, we had a day of cold, wet weather and we were able to dig deep and arrive at our destination wet and cold but still smiling and loving our experience. I met some truly lovely people and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Andrea July ‘22

The 3 peaks was well prepared. At the end of each peaks there's bathrooms for people to use. Because it's a challenge for 24hours it requires a fast pace and for that the people should be prepared otherwise you either delay the group or keep going back to the van. Safety is considered all the time and the guide was very helpful and always honest about everything. I loved the experience although I didnt manage to complete it. Maybe another time.

Excellent experience with awesome guide Paddy. It was just a pity that one of the folks did not have the right level of fitness. So Paddy had to stay with the individual and other folks had to wait for a long time at multiple occasions. Skyhook should make it more clear that the trip is demanding and require a good level of fitness. The two refuges in Switzerland were really good but the quality and friendliness in Rifugio Bonatti were disappointing. Overall a trip where I made new friends and will stick for a long time on my ‘hard drive’. The international composition of the group was a real enrichment. Maybe next year I’ll take a new trip !

The ‘Tour du Mont Blanc’ was a marvelous experience. We enjoyed the scenery, the folks in the group and the guide Paddy who did an excellent job. Unfortunately one member of the group didn’t have a good physical condition and was not able to keep up with the pace of the others. Our guide had to stay with this individual all the time. As a result, the other members of the group had to wait multiple times for 1-2 hours till the individual with the guide arrived at a meeting point. It should be stressed in the tour info that you really need a good condition to take this trip. The refuges were fine although the food and the showers in Refugio Bonatti were of poor quality.

Amazing trip! Seamless from start to finish. Weather didn’t beat us despite a wet and windy start (the seal en route definitely helped), wild camp was amazing and in a location that would be tough to beat - great for a wild swim. Dan our guide was fantastic - very knowledgeable and lots of fun, always happy to answer our silly questions and add to his extensive knowledge of the English language and ‘culture’. The hike to Preikestolen was busy but worth it and the highlight had to be the final day paddling underneath and into the little bays along the Lysefjord. Food was plentiful and delicious and it was lovely to be involved in the preparation, cooking and camp craft. We met amazing people and what impressed me most was that it was such an inclusive trip for the solo travellers amongst us. If you like to rough it for a few days and get your hands dirty with a spectacular backdrop then this is definitely the trip for you! Norway is incredible.

This was a great trip, and an unforgettable experience. I was fortunate to be with a wonderful group people, and an excellent guide, Laura. We gelled well straight away, and there was really good communication. The weather was pretty great too. We made fast progress at the start, though you should be aware that it can be hard work at times, especially when the wind is against you. You have to be prepared for some pretty long days on the water. The food was very good, and the guidance of what to pack is really helpful – my only mistake was perhaps taking more clothes than I really needed! Tents are easy to put up and the camping places were all pretty good, and I was super impressed that our guide Laura (of Scottish Rock & Water) was able to constantly reevaluate and make minor changes to the stopping points as we went, depending on progress and how the group were doing. The food was ideal. The Great Glen is a truly beautiful part of the world – I feel very glad indeed that I undertook this trip.

Wow - but not for beginners! I read the trip description and thought I might be over qualified for it, however this trip took me way out my comfort zone! You need strong boulder experience (very few nice trails) and having crampon experience on glaciers would be helpful, to feel comfortable crossing crevasses (which probably challenged me the most). Walking up the actual peaks in crampons was fine + we managed 4 instead of 2! If you have ski and rock climbing experience those skills would help you to adapt. I will never forget this experience but it was not an easy holiday! This is mountaineering not hiking!

The trip was beautiful, the hikes challenging and scenic, the huts really nice. However, the guide was absolutely horrific: rude, wouldn't give change back, underhandedly brought people on the trip, but worst of all he put my life in danger by giving the order to keep moving as I was putting my gloves on at the risk of pulling me into a crevasse. Thankfully, the other people in the group were more sensible than him

It was a fantastic adventure. The walking distances and altitude differences shouldn’t scare people because the guide takes time and builds in several acclimatisation days. Professional guidance! Doing this trip during monsoon season was a challenge, specifically if planes in Lukla cannot land but luckily there are choppers that always fly. The good thing about raining season too is that you’re practically alone and can even more enjoy the mountains, nature and quietness. A must do trip for any hiker.

Just back from this trip and really enjoyed it. Our group was only eight, apparently small in average, this gave the opportunity for us to not only get to know each other better through forming connections through shared physical challenges by day but also be part of one conversation around the dinner table which I thought worked well. Add a drink or two in the evenings and I found this group of people were really nice with no inflated egos or social barriers. As a result we had many laughs over the few days. Our guide Ben I thought found the right balance between leadership and setting expectations along with integrating into the group. I think his biggest challenge was the need to manage our time and progress whilst being mindful of different individual needs. Ben was able to compromise in a given situation and be direct and honest in others. The accommodation was better than I’d imagined on my first time seeing the refugios. I was impressed by the organisation of the staff with hotel like standards for some aspects like dinner time. Being able to serve dinner to 50 people at such a remote location Can’t be easy. Dorm sleeping beings it’s own challenges and If you are a light sleeper or you know you snore then consider carefully if this is for you. There are no options for finding a quiet spot to get some much needed sleep. Beware! Although I understand alps adventures cannot and shouldn’t need to manage this problem some people have, I do think they should point It out on the website for prospective clients and align all the information they have with the skyhook website as we found some minor discrepancies. The evening food was basic but tasty and that suited me and most of the group. As i mentioned given the location it was impressive. The ‘pic-nic’ lunches that were ordered the night before were just slightly lacking in size and I was glad to have brought some trail snacks. Two and a half days were spent in Switzerland and prices go up so I think the advice on how much cash to bring needs adjusted to include more Swiss franks than euros. Overall, I would recommend this trip, we had some very hot days and fitness is a real requirement as there are long steep ascents. Perhaps a last minute kit list that is more suitable for the conditions could be sent to clients or at least have strict guidelines on pack weight- something that could be done at Vert lodge in chamonix at the Beginning where extra kit can be left. Personally I was struck by the vast scale of the mountains and the beauty of the changing light and dramatic jaw dropping glaciers and rock faces. A humbling place.

This was my first trip with Skyhook and kayaking. I absolutely loved it and can't fault anything. It was an amazing trip from start to finish. Alex and Tom from Land and Wave were fantastic instructors and very chilled. The kayaking is suitable for beginners, we paddled about 15 miles in total the whole weekend so I would recommend some basic levels of fitness/upper body straight would be beneficial but not essential. The campsite was really nice, large bell tents, we had hot showers and a separate tent for the group to relax/charge devices and make tea/coffee. They also provided wood for us to make a fire in the evening. The local town is a short drive or 30 min walk away and has some lovely pubs to have dinner in. I went as a solo traveller which I was slightly apprehensive about but our small group all hit it off so well. There were other solos on the trip. Our group have stayed in touch and some of us are in discussions about doing other adventures together next year. This is not one to miss!

This is differcult to review. There Some good and very bad points I found. Good super convenient, safety, meeting people. Fun. Experience. Information from skyhook. Bad ,drivers. Though our second drivers was smooth. First one didn’t really care for passengers. Team leader far too focused on a fast time. We had almost 2 hours saved up. Which ment 6 people failed the challenge. Just a tad off pace. If it’s that important too do less than 24 hours. Should be advertised. Or split into two groups. One for record timers. And one for 24 hour. Hotel was shocking. Should be struck off from skyhook customers. No welcome. No choice of any food whatsoever. Breakfast was the worst. We started late. And eaten nothing. Disgusting hotel. Our guide was very professional. Could fault that. But treated fit healthy People as failures. There job is difficult. But should be more supportive. Just listen and help a bit more. Slow the pace. Forget doing it in record time.

My trip to Scotland was such an amazing experience. From the onset there was an opportunity to chat with other people on the trip. Our guides Lizzie and Pete were fantastic. Both were highly experienced, well informed and always looking out for our needs and caring about our expectations for the trip. Canoeing was harder than I expected and there was a good deal of shifting heavy loads in between locks but the team effort made it all bearable. Scotland is a beautiful county and the photos shown through Skyhook are true to life. Highly recommended.

A great trip through incredible scenery. The guides (Lizzie and Pete) were exceptional. Their knowledge and experience was immense and Lizzie made wise decisions regarding the weather and when/where to paddle. The food was plentiful and catered for everyone. The canoes were good quality. The only room for improvement would be the tents. I took my own but the others given out were all different, had no instructions and most pegs were bent beyond usefulness. I would suggest these are looked into. Sadly, I fell ill on day three (covid). Lizzie got me a test kit and ensured I was taken back to Fort William so I could get a good night’s sleep before heading home. She checked in on me regularly to make sure I was ok. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

This was an excellent experience and one that I would happily repeat. Our guides Lizzie and Pete were more than exceptional, you really felt that you were in extremely capable and competent hands and I felt that I learnt so much from them in a short amount of time. Cam our support driver was great fun and kept the group stocked and our canoes in the right place. They were all very welcoming and with the group I was in, it became a friendly family feel very quickly. Looking back through the FAQ sections and information sections, its all makes much more sense now we have been on the trip, so to help others, it would be nice to, in more detail describe the trip and your options with a bit of reality thrown in. So, although you are in a group, you will carry all your own gear and you will of course with the positive team mindset, assist others in the team. You have an 80 litre dry bag that you will need to put your gear in, plus your tent, sleeping blow-up pad, sleeping bag etc, so make sure you pack with an easy life in mind as it gets heavy. Find a way to separate your wet stuff. You will put up and take down your own tent, in the dark/dusk sometimes depending on condition, so my recommendation would be to take your own tent that you are familiar with if you have one. The boats are heavy, and the handles can be unforgiving, so when I do this again I will take gloves to make it easier on my office pampered delicate hands :-). The food prep was great, and Lizzie and Pete did an amazing job keeping us fed, however, if you like your little luxuries, take them with you. I will be taking my own coffee next time, although the team did provide coffee that I did get used to :-) oh.... and don't hope there will be no midges :-) Take you midge cream/spray and use it before you get bitten, not after. In summary, an amazing trip with amazing people, that I will be repeating.

It was the best adventure I have ever done so far. Tom Brodie was our guide during the 4 days in the mountains and he was a truly amazing guide. Too early to say but I think I made friends for life during those days. We stick together from the beginning to the end and supported each other along the way. The Alpes are there to be experienced and this is really the best way to do it. Any picture couldn’t express such a beauty. This experience is for people who are fit and healthy. You shouldn’t enter to this if you have any pains and aches waistline bellow. People with vertigo, clumsy or memory fog should also think twice. The refuges were much better than expected, very clean, great food and a bar !!! Looking forward to the next trip - AJALI our group chant

A superb package deal, full of excitement, quality, value and adventure. This is one of those trips that leave you with endless amounts of memories, not only of the incredible scenery, the feeling of self achievement, and the amazing amount of resident enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication from the guides. The experience is made all that much better due to the well organised, and planned itinerary, the quality of the accommodation that brings people together from all over the World, and the outstanding value of the Tour. The use of two tour guides with excellent local knowledge, provided us with a great support group around us, with them constantly checking on our welfare, and always offering encouragement to keep going. The group of people were superb, a great friendly environment for us all, and this gave us a collective mindset to believe we were capable of completing every stage of the tour. Paddy one of the guides also possessed an incredible amount of local knowledge from routes, to knowing what every Alpine plant was that we came across. I could not recommend this enough, it has everything, stunning scenery, outstanding value, well organised, planned and demands every person to work towards a wonderful personal challenge, what more could you ask for on a Alpine walking Tour. A 5 star experience all day long

My recent trip of 4 days Tour de Mont Blanc was an amazing experience. I learned so much and was able to achieve what I aimed for . Everything was well managed transport, stays and food . Special mention for Paul and Min , they were amazing and learnt so much for them . They were always so supportive and encouraging. It was so enriching that Paul shared his experiences with us . Overall a fantastic trip with a great team.

Amazing experience !! Paul and Min were our guides and they were amazing - couldn't fault them at all !! Not only were they encouraging and kept the group together and going but they had an abundance of knowledge on the different plants and ecosystems on the mountains the places we visited which was a great bonus! Really made me appreciate the mountains much more . The accommodation was clean the food was good and filling. Thank you for a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend the tour and our amazing guides!!

This was a beautiful trek with everything very well organized. The huts were surprisingly comfortable and the food was also good. The pace was good, too. And I cannot praise our guide Paul enough! He was always positive, motivating and supportive, very knowledgeable about hiking/trekking/climbing, the mountains and the surrounding area. I think that the short talks (by Paul) about nature and climate change and how it affects the areas we were walking through would be a wonderful part of any hike, it really makes you more conscious of your surroundings. Our guide "apprentice" Minna was also wonderful, always there to cheer us on and helping us expand our knowledge about plants and nature in general. This was my first multi-day trek and I am so glad that I got to do it with these amazing guides and our awesome group!

This tour was well above my expectations. It was well organised and we were lucky to have two very competence guides leading us through this classically beautiful route. Paul and Minn were just great joy to be with. They were super patience, lively and knowledgeable. Despite the heat, they made this tour fun and easily achievable! The staying at the huts was also much better compared to average refuge huts that I was used to. There were always decent showers, generous breakfasts and tasty dinners. To get decent sleep, I can only recommend to come prepared because you will be in a shared room :) Also a big shout to Louise, another organiser of this tour who helped to make this trip happen for me despite some odd travel complication, “Thank you!”

Amazing trip, guide ian was incredible also. As a group we made it in 25 hours we are telling our selves with 45 min driver stop and 15 min driver change that makes 24 hours 🤣 my only issue the availability to ensure food and rest is prioritised. There are hardly any stops, and when factoring in traffic, the group missed dinner arriving at hotel past 8.30. You can go to town, but after a 10 hour drive you just want to get into bed and rest. However if you stock up at every stop this is easily managed, just more information would be useful when booking.

I booked the 4 day Tour du Mont Blanc trip and trained for this for 3-4 months before the start date. The pace of the hike was simply too quick, close to unbearable as the rest of the group was ‘quite fit’. I overheard that ‘these people are getting frustrated’ once my friend and I were falling behind. This was not a holiday, but it felt like a race, no time to take photos to enjoy the views or connect with nature. and I thank the guides for being there, however, when I take a photo and I hear behind ‘keep going, keep going’, this does not feel like a holiday any more. The physical strain is huge. Having a mental strain on top to get to the end point on time because the driver might get cross if we’re late, this is just adding up to the stress of a hard climb with hardly any breaks. I pulled out of the trip middle of second day and asked if there was a refund. No refund and No interest whatsoever in feedback or what went wrong. I was not the only one in the group who almost fell sick on the trail, luckily I pulled out at the right moment. Money badly spent on a stressful trip. The biggest regret is having no time to enjoy the scenery.

Amazing adventure in the heart of the Alps This was my first experience of such a long hike from hut to hut - and I should say it was absolutely amazing!!! I don't know what did I expect but views definitely shifted all possible expectations. The route includes very picturesque points, to let participants enjoy the views and forget about the excercise they need to make to see those. The tour was also a nice opportunity to meet new people. Our group built a really nice and supportive team - everybody was always looking back and asking if the next person is OK or needs help. Of course the tour would not be so interesting without our guide Paul, who seem to know everything about surrounding mountains and nature and shares this knowledge with the team. Paul was very caring for the group helping and supporting as necessary. Next year I'm definitely in for Matterhorn Highlights tour.

Hello, I joined a group a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Except disappointingly we did not manage to paddle to Inverness because of the wind. Mother Nature took over. We stopped at Port Augustus which was stunning. Luckily our group got on, we had real team work and spirit. We keep intouch. The only thing was the portage, emptying the canoes and lifting them across the locks. You really need to be physically capable of this. I recommend any like minded people to do this, its great for the soul.

Stunning scenery, and a real feeling of peace and getting away from modern day trappings. It is a long way though! I had signed up to the trip with little thought to my fitness or skill levels and didn't quite realise the length of the trip until we took the coach from Inverness to Fort William. 'All abilities' is, I feel, pushing it a bit - you need a basic level of fitness. However, no day really felt like a slog - and this was completed with a heavy cold in my case. Each day, the canoe was loaded with apportioned group essentials and we paddled until a mid-morning tea break, then to lunch, then another break, then camp. The guides, Lizzie and Lena, were very knowledgeable and good fun, and provided the help we required, whilst still letting us discover things for ourselves. Whilst we weren't able to complete a full run of Ness, the call was made with our safety in mind and there was no doubt it was the correct one. Loads more food than we could eat. Logistics van met with us several times and was supportive, providing me with a Covid test, another chap was taken to have a tick bite checked (speaking of wildlife, midge nets are essential), town runs for extra beer, etc. The trip is very hands on, with everyone expected to pull their weight and contribute. If you are expecting everything to be set up for you, you will be disappointed. Portage is required at several points, and it's a hard slog, so my advice would be to pack as lightly as possible. Likewise, you'll need to be able to pitch a tent, help with washing up and offer whatever skills you can to make the trip go smoothly (in my case, I helped cooked breakfast one morning). If you're open to it, this all enhances the trip and helps build rapport with the rest of the group (I was very lucky in this case, as everyone was lovely). Overall, I would be happy to recommend this trip.

(Jul 2022)
This trip is truly amazing, the scenery is breathtaking, the peace and tranquility is staggering. The description states that it is for all abilities, however, this may be abit misleading. Yes, you can do it with minimal training and don't need to have any previous paddling experience, but, the portage sections, especially the one at Fort Augustus, can be brutal. Unpacking your canoe, then transferring from one section to another, then repacking can be very tiring. The equipment used, and by that I mean the tents, were very easy to put up even without any instructions...one tent in particular took 4 or 5 of us to figure it out on the last night. The sites used were excellent, and this being my first foray into the world of wild camping and camping in general, I felt they could not have chosen better spots. The food, considering was being prepared on camping stoves etc, was actually surprisingly excellent, and the stops along the way were also well catered for. The support van met us at various areas to restock with food etc, and this was very efficient. One of the things that made this trip, was the excellent guides we had, and they were Lizzie (along with Blodyn her Welsh collie), and Lina. Both were an absolute scream, and made us feel as though we could accomplish the trip. Lizzie was very informative about the areas we were paddling through, as well as giving us instruction, and Lina was excellent at giving us instruction as well. We were not able to complete the whole trip due to the weather conditions on Loch Ness, and thankfully both Lizzie and Lina took the decision to not put us at risk, so we had a cracking day paddling the river at the last camp. All in all, it was a phenomenal trip, and definitely one I would recommend....just be prepared for the portage areas, as they are not very well described.
