Absolutely stunning experience! The perfect mix of amazing nature, helpful tips from the instructors and support from the teammates. I was very pleased to get into such a group - one of the best group tours I've ever done so far.
Special thanks to the host Jacob who put his soul into this cozy place.

An unforgettable weekend. It’s incredible the progress you can make with Jakob’s guidance onto challenging, yet achieve able ice climbs in just 2 days. A very worthwhile experience I’d recommend anyone interested!

Had a fabulous trip.
Tom the guide was very professional, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area.
The views on the walks were breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this trip and have even booked another tour for the summer.
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
I had absolutely great time!
Tom (our guide) made absolutely sure everybody is feeling great and enjoying the tour. He created such an amazing and friendly athmosphere during the entire trip. He thought us few important techniques for snowshoeing and even demonstrated some great abilities of the snowshoes. Thank you Skayhook and Tom for the freat time in Switzerland 🇨🇭!!!
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
Great introduction to ice climbing from many years of rock climbing. Amazing experienced instructors, who supported and pushed us throughout the 4 days of ice climbing and chose routes to suit the team each day. An amazing homely hostel with all the facilities you could need. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to try Ice climbing.
Travelled on: Ice Climbing Improver Course
Amazing! Excellent for the first time climbers! All of us were able to climb to the top of ice fall on day two. Great work instructors!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Wonderful trip! Lots of wonderful food provided. Treks we’re challenging but the views impeccable. Our guide Tom was funny and very personable. Tom provided plenty of support and insights to the area. Highly recommend this adventure!
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
It was a great weekend! The guides were really nice and helpful. I enjoyed the snowshoeing a lot, and the dogs were really cute!
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
Excellent trip - was a really great way to spend a weekend. 2 excellent days of snowshoeing with a lovely group of people. Tom and Guy were great guides and I would highly recommend this trip.
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
A very fun adventure with a great group of participants and great guides. The snowshoeing was a good workout and the sledding opportunity was a real adrenaline rush, not for the feint hearted. The guides are very knowledgeable and personable. A great way to spend a winter weekend in nature.
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
The trip was great! The weather was stormy but we still managed to gain so much experience in the Cairngorm National Park. Our guide Jack was fantastic and we were well looked after on the mountains. Jacks enthusiasm and knowledge made every day interesting and fun. The hotel was lovely and Aviemore is a great little town. If you love walking in different and sometimes challenging conditions then this trip is an ideal taster.
Travelled on: Winter Hiking Across the Cairngorms
Absolutely amazing trip. It was physically very challenging but well worth the effort. Great itinerary and the group size made for a great social experience!
Travelled on: Snowshoeing in the Swiss Alps
The whole experience was amazing.. beyond my expectations. Definitely I recommend it and will do it again if my time permits
Travelled on: Snowshoeing in the Swiss Alps
The weather may not have been the most favorable to landscapes for this trip, but can you expect more from a winter hike when you get to experience almost all the possible weather variations and conditions that come with winter... Yes, with these delicacies this was the richest possible experience!
Special thanks for this to guide Martin, who gave a professional presentation of the region and showed the most impressive parts of the national park. And special thanks also to Penzion Sagan. Good food, after the hike and dinner the combination of sauna, snow and jacuzzi was relaxing. The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was memorable
Travelled on: Winter Hiking in the Fatra Mountains
Just got back, that was Awesome! Climbed at Ozzimosis on day 1 and Krokan on day 2, it was everything i hoped and more.
The drive to Ozimosis was 5-mins and the walk-in is short but exciting, the climbing area is a mixture of short steep sections, with lots of inclines inbetween - great to learn the techniques and build confidence! There was a variety of difficulties so if you feel confident you can challenge yourself within your comfort level - and the guides offer tips and individual challenges too. It was not too cold, and after climbing I had to remove layers to cool-down! Everything was top-ropes, fixed to solid anchors and trees above - no climbing experience necessary.
Day 2 was at a 15 min drive, and a beautiful 10-min walk-in - the place is so pretty. the climbing had a mixture of simple routes to more challenging climbs, it felt higher and more exciting but that was probably the joy of the general area and surroundings.
I couldn't recommend this highly enough, the guides were fantastic and knowledgeable, the experience was worth twice the price - and i will be back next winter for the medium-level course!
PS - Take a camera!!!!!

Very winter assent of Ben Nevis with Sam Percival as our guide. Great instruction, carefully thought out planning, enjoyable and professional. A memory that will stay with me forever. Could not recommend more. (Hotel was a bit naff but not the end of the world - just a place to sleep!!)
Travelled on: Ben Nevis Winter Ascent (1,345m)
Excellent experience.
Extremely able and accommodating team working in a truly beautiful part of the world.
10/10 would recommend.
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Another amazing Skyhook trip. Hike is relatively short, but challenging as you approach summit. Our guide Victor was awesome and supportive. Recommend riding horses part of the way just for the experience.
Travelled on: Rainbow Mountain (5,200m)
What an amazing hike. Challenging for sure, but worth every bit of sweat and pain. Our guide Charly was awesome, shared a wealth of knowledge on the local area, history and fauna. This is the best way to experience Machu Picchu.
Travelled on: Short Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu - 2 days
Skyhook comes through with another great experience. Our guide Charly was amazing and the food was incredible. Recommend riding horses at least part way for the full experience.
Travelled on: Humantay Lake Trek
Really enjoyable experience! Tackling Ben Nevis in the winter seems much more of event and achievement than I thought it would. The first day of winter skills training was an excellent taster session into mountaineering and the great views, climb and remoteness have inspired me to explore more mountains in the future. The guides were good company and very informative. I would advise that you make sure you bring the right kit; I managed to borrow a waterproof off another kind adventurer but would have been wet, cold and miserable otherwise! If in doubt ask the guides; Sam Percival was very helpful in recommending kit for my next outing. The accomodation and kit provided was good and going at New Year was well worth it for the bagpipes on Hogmanay! Slàinte Mhath! (Cheers in Gaelic)
Travelled on: Ben Nevis Winter Ascent (1,345m)
An absolutely amazing way to spend a weekend! The old school hostel is outstanding providing hot showers and lots of room! A drying room for all your equipment after climbs. Hostel has everything you need. The lounge area is huge and has a log burner fire to warm up after spending the day with ice. The two instructors were very knowledgeable and friendly. The climbing is good for a range of experience as there’s varying difficulties of climbs for those who want to give it a try! Great climbing, great accommodation, great people! I’ll definitely be back for the intermediate course at some point! Thank you Jakob, Ben and skyhook for an amazing introduction to a fab sport!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Great experience and very friendly and helpful instruction. Choices as to where you climb are controlled by the weather. It would be good to have some climbing experience if possible
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
The ice climbing course was an amazing experience. Jakob was a great instructor and provided a stable platform to learn ice climbing and assisted when required. Staying at the Old School Hostel was a nice way to get to know the other team members and enabled us to develop a collegial spirit which shifted the climbing field and helped us to push and support each other in the ice climbing and reach our own goals. I strongly recommend to anyone thinking of doing this course, It was a highlight of my Scandinavian experience.
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Absolutely idyllic pre Christmas treat. Tom and ChiChi looked after us all so well and we shall have memories forever! It's not too exhausting either but you do need basic fitness and the sledging is probably the most scary bit! Day one we were in the tree line and day two we went to monastery and saws the dogs at Barryland. If you are skier, off piste in deep powder can be daunting but in snow shoes it's great fun! I saw a different side to the mountains in snow shoes.
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
Had the most fantastic weekend on the beginners snow shoeing experience. Tom and Cece looked after us exceptionally well and ensures we enjoyed every step. I would highly recommend this weekend with Tom and the team at Alpsadventures
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
Take a group all the way up a sizeable mountain and faff around finding thing to do in the deep snow? No one in the group wanted to do it, it Injured several members of the group, and then this was ahead of an even earlier ascent of the U.K.s tallest mountain - not a beginner trek at all - and obviously awful experience. Our group were turned around 15 mins from the summit by an overly jittery guide worrying about daylight - we still made it to the bottom with 1.5 hours of daylight still to spare - not with standing ever using the head torches they’d insisted we bring?! Absolutely minimum organisation or communication from the guides throughout, we had to text them constantly to find out, and we had no idea where or when our meal would come (we actually have to provide them all with no wanting at all)
Bizarre that all the experiences on this site have 5 stars?! Almost no one on this group (10) has much positive to say about the whole trip.
Travelled on: Ben Nevis Winter Ascent (1,345m)
The guides were excellent and the course was very informative. The tuition was great and guides really helped everyone of all skill levels. All very professional.
I thought that the hotel was awful - it was one of the worst i have ever been to, the carpets smelt of damp, the heating in my room didnt work and toilet flush worked intermittently. There are better hotels in the area and cheaper ones. I would thoroughly recommend that this is changed for future courses. I personally wouldnt come on any of your courses if held at this hotel again. I think would be better if some form of course dinner was organised, would help to build team spirit
Travelled on: Ben Nevis Winter Ascent (1,345m)
Absolutely amazing trip! The ratio of clients to guides was much lower than I had expected, providing a really great environment for learning and receiving feedback. In addition, this meant that the different abilities of the group members could all be catered for. The guides themselves were absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable and friendly, couldn’t have asked for better. I felt completely safe at all times and have learned so many skills that I will put into action! Thank you all for making it such a fun weekend, particularly Josh who took lead myself and 2 others up the Ben.
Travelled on: Ben Nevis Winter Ascent (1,345m)
Thank you Simon and Damien, for arranging the four-days hike/tour to The Lost City in Santa Marta area. You were able to inform us from beginning to end. All our personal requests and expectations were met! From the first moment to the last we enjoyed everything. Great organisation and cooperation between all. Certified guide Pedro and translator were really professional and super friendly. The hike itself was often tough but Pedro (and translator) supported us every time. We had a small group with nice atmosphere. Good laughs and good cooperation between all. The food was super tasty and fresh. They even took into account our vegetarian diet. Skyhook Adventure and Kagumu Adventures are highly recommended organisations with huge love and respect for the local area and communities! It was a unique trip, one never to forget. Thanks for the bag of local Santa Marta Colombian coffee! We will enjoy a cup of coffee at home. Thanks for creating the base of such wonderful memories!

My tour was amazing, Mostapha and Abdallah were very hospitable and really gave me a feel for how life was in the mountains.
Nothing bad to say about it if I could give the review an extra star I would, great value for money.
Travelled on: 5 Days Toubkal and Sahara Desert Tour
Hi, Houssain looked after us like family. The climb itself was fine, if you have done national three peaks in 24 hours, that is harder in my view so if you are fit and healthy you can do this. I personally preferred the climb than to the Sahara part but having coming all that way I wanted to see the Sahara too.

WOW…. I would give 6 stars if I could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am Just back from Mt Toubkal and what a fantastic trip. I traveled with a group of friends, 11 of us in total and we all had a brilliant time. The accommodation was great. The food was freshly made for us every time, it was very tasty and plenty of it. On day 1 was around 12.6km. On day 2 we were up and gone by 4am and its 5k to the top, tough going with altitude and the steep ascent and It’s a long day going all the way back to Imlil.
Was it worth it ? Yes. When you get to the top, you will know what I mean
A massive thanks to our guides Hussein and Omar who were amazing, making sure we all got to the summit and also the porters, cooks and hosts were all brilliant 👍🏻.
I have nothing negative to say about the trip.
I would highly recommend Hussein and Omar to guide you.

The hike to climb Mt Toubkal was amazing. Houssain is a first class Guide. Houssain and his team did a great job of making every member of the group feel relaxed and at home in the beautiful Atlas mountains. The accommodation and food was excellent and the scenery spectacular! I would give this trip a ten out of ten. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering doing it. I'm so glad I did it. It was an amazing jorney to the summit of Toubkal! Our guide, Houssein was very kind, helpful and supported us during the whole tour. The altitude is challanging, but can be managed following a very experienced guide instructions. Everything was well organized and the food was delicious! Atlas mountain is beautiful and summit of Toubkal is definitely a destination for any hikers.

Hiking and Kayaking Norwegian Fjords (Autumn) in Lysefjord Wow, what an experience. Rasmus is well organized, friendly, informative, and fun. The cabin was well appointed with all facilities you need. The food cooked by Rasmus was excellent. Our itinerary was altered to suit…

It was awe inspiring. We are both 50+ and relatively active. We had the best time getting back to basics and enjoying the love of the land.
Rory our guide was amazing and knew all the best spots to camp. Portaging was hard work but we loved it. The views were amazing.
Travelled on: Canoe & Wild Camp Across Scotland
Just wow!! From day one this hike was something else! I must say that I am so glad that I followed the skyhook guide and to what equipment and gear is required. I used everything apart from a couple of things. I hired my walking poles which made it easier for airport transport! The huts and food is amazing and is catered for all! We met some amazing people and plan to meet up with them on other hiking tours! Our tour guide was awesome and considerate to everyone’s abilities. I would 100% recommend sky hook!

Amazing trip from start to finish, Houssain and Omar were fantastic guides and even arranged a full moon for the summit morning.
The accomodation arranged for us in Imlil and the refuge were both fantastic with proper toilets, showers, power plugs and the food was amazing.
The perfect trip and I'll definitely be back to see more of the Atlas mountains and wouldn't think if using anyone else as guides.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
We had a great trip, our guide was absolutely brilliant - great company, encouraging on the tough stuff (up and down) ensuring we had a fantastic experience and we embraced the opportunity to push ourselves out of our comfort zone while feeling really safe.
There were some organisational glitches in the background, but the local providers pulled out all the stops to make sure we were well looked after.

Absolutely awesome and memorable experience. Cancellations and re-bookings caused by the Covid virus went smoothly with Skyhook. Not once during the trip did I have to worry about arrangements. Our guide Dave was more than professional and immediately created a good spirit for the whole team. Already planning the next trip.
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc
Great trip, well organised, Dave our tour guide was excellent, would recommend.
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc
We've been trying to go on the hike for over two years, but due to covid it has been difficult. Happy to say that we finally got the chance to do it. Firstly I would like to say thank you to Skyhook for being so flexible with the bookings and refunds. I would happily book other tours with them in future.
This tour offers spectacular views of a wide variety of mountains and landscapes. It exceeded my expectations. WOW. The views are breathtaking. It was definitely no walk in the park, be ready to conquer mountains each day. But once you conquer the mountain the reward is well worth it. I would recommend a good level of general fitness for this tour.
Dave was a great guide, listened to the group's needs and adjusted accordingly. I also loved the fact that he worked in random coffee and cake stops.
The food was ok, nothing to write home about. I recommend bringing your own snacks as well. The accommodation consisted of shared dorm rooms.
It is a trip I will never forget. We were a great group of people.
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc
What a great experience this was.
Definitely not for the faint hearted.
This is not a relaxing hike, this tests endurance, mental toughness and requires a decent level of fitness. We were very lucky to have a great bunch of people conquering the mountains together and sharing a laugh when the going got tough. Dave our guide was very knowledgeable and were very in tune with the group and their different needs which he used to adjust the routes accordingly, ensuring all members of the group had a great time. Skyhook is definitely a company I will book with in the future.
They were very responsive and went out of their way to accommodate us during this very interesting covid times where bookings had to be changed or even cancelled. The organisation was great, transfers, accommodation, meals everything was taken care of without having any hickups. Thank you for a great trip!
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc
Had the best time in Imlil/Toubkal and the Sahara dessert out of my 3.5 weeks of travelling in Morocco. Local host from Atlas Vertical was absolutely brilliant, from the moment I got in touch, I was very well taken care of, every guide I had was very friendly and professional, all of us made it to the top of Toubkal despite the challenging weather thanks to their guidance. Food and accommodation was on point, the guesthouse in Imlil was my favourite stay, big windows with stunning view of the mountains. What a highlight to my trip ! Highly recommended!
Travelled on: Mt Toubkal & Sahara Desert Adventure
This was an amazing experience and I am still living on the high from the weekend. It is the toughest thing I have done testing both my physical and mental strength. I took part in this on my own but as it was a small team of eight, I was made to feel very welcome and we supported each other during the difficult times. The event was very well organised , we were provided with lots of information and we had an excellent guide who was great at motivating and encouraging us during the climbs. To achieve this within 24 hours we had to walk at quite a fast pace. The fitter you are in the lead up to this the more you will enjoy it and achieve your goal with ease
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
Honestly a truly amazing fun experience - the scenery was breathtaking - food was yummy (and plentiful and lots of chocolate!) and the guides were very knowledgeable and fun. The equipment was also new and top quality. Overall an amazing weekend (despite the rain on one day!)
Travelled on: Hike, Kayak and Wild Camp the Norwegian Fjords
Absolutely awesome, our 2 guides Fred and Vicki were just the best.
I would however like to see the trip advertised more accurately, due to adverse weather the 1st day plans had to change, this should be made more. Clear from Skyhook.
All in all an excellent trip👌🏼
Travelled on: Canoe Expedition Across Scotland
First of all, Fred and Vicky were great leaders. Windy weather meant changes of plan on the first two days. Although this was disappointing, it was no one's fault and in fact it was good that Fred was firm enough to withstand enthusiasm for pressing on! Vicky's catering was very good. There was plenty of food, and it was tasty. On our two days paddling up Loch Ness, the weather got better and better. It's a beautiful trip and I'm glad I did it.
Travelled on: Canoe Expedition Across Scotland
Absolutely fantastic 4 days on the hike and the views are fabulous and breathtaking… the glacier was the best
Joel our guide was fantastic and organised every thing really well and Elba was a star!
Thanks to Joel… the vegetarian food was amazing… and the group was so much fun. Certainly needs a good level of fitness to do the hike.

Physically it was a real challenge, do not underestimate it!

great walk, guide and company. The italian refuge elizabet was poor. crowded and unsanitary toilets and showers. The other two refuges were fine. Great group
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc - Western Highlights
It was amazing ! Julius White is an excellent guide. He forced us to go "pole pole" on the 4 first days so we got to the base camp as strong as possible.
He split us into different groups for the final ascent so we all had a perfect pace to get to the summit on time.
The hotel of the first and last nights was nice, food all along was perfect, we have no complaintes about this hike.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
It was a best hiking tour I experienced our guide Joe was very helpful and
informative , we are 12 people in the group and we all have a good time they all patiently wait for for me ,
Over all this experience is over the top and I will recommend this..
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc
We had a great hike with our guide Dave. Our small group was very friendly and supportive. I had a few problems with the technical parts of the hike and with the help of Dave and our group I got though them all. I was concerned when the first day was much longer and harder than expected. It did seem some of our days were different from the description. I do realize that depending on conditions and other factors, the routes and hut stays may need to change. Overall, this was a great hike with so many amazing views and trails. Since I have a some issues with heights and shear drop offs, I try to do some research before hand so i can feel prepared. Dave was an excellent coach on some of these tricky bits! So I rated this trip 4 stars, since it was quite a bit longer and harder than the description on the website.

Wonderful trip, fantastic guide, and great company. Very challenging trails, but well worth the effort for stunning views, cozy huts, and local wildlife. Highly recommend!
Travelled on: Matterhorn Highlights
It was an epic trip with good guide chunkie and well organised stops and camps sites. Strongly recommended!
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
The trek-to-trek Matterhorn experience was fantastic! It was a little more technically challenging than the group anticipated, but we had the right gear and a great guide (shout out to Dave M!), so it was a tremendous growth opportunity for everyone. The scenery was obviously wonderful. The huts were no-frills, but entirely adequate and we were grateful to see them. I would absolutely sign up for an adventure with Skyhook again!

We have just completed our canoeing trip, It was such a wonderful experience I’ll never forget. On day two I remember thinking to myself how am I physically going to manage this, however with the fabulous high spirits in our group and the beautiful scenery I just keeps you going. I would highly recommend this trip. Certainly right up there as one to remember 👍🏻

This was an unfulfilled challenge for us. Sadly the group was only able to complete 2 peaks out of the 3. An RTA in the Highlands closed the road. Which meant we had a very long detour. Our driver didn't have enough remaining hours (legal rules about how long a driver can drive for) for us to do Scarfell pike and the company couldn't get a replacement driver to us. Instead we had to go on to Snowdon via a driver change. It did mean we got to Snowdon early so did get to do a night hike and reach the peak just in time for sunrise. Weather was perfect for both Ben Nevis and Snowdon, we had a great group and Keith, our mountain guide was fantastic but I can't help feeling disappointed about missing Scarfell pike
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
It was an amazing experience. Unfortunately we could do Scafel Pike but did Ben Nevis and Snowdon. It was a bank holiday weekend, we were in our way to Scafel and got a massive traffic jam. Apparently 2 RTC happened and roads were closed. Our guide and drive did tried the best to take us there but we decided to go towards Snowdon. As we got there earlier our guide decided to make our way up a little bit more exciting and choose a more challenging route. That route wasn’t for anyone but perfect for our group. Lots of “technical stuff” many vertical climbing ( I don’t recommend if you suffer from vertigo, don’t trust your core and knee strength, feeling nauseous in high pressure altitude, and or lose your balance easier). Yes! If you have an adventure spirit and trust your gut 😁 you will love this. Keith was our amazing guide. One of those people who really inspire confidence and helped the group to step into the next level. Simon O. send us all the information we need ahead of the event. He answered all my questions promptly and even send me a flow test by post after I said I had my own.Hotel was really good in Fort William with a “pro” breakfast for hikers and runners. Definitely recommended this company and I will do it again.
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
Unfortunately, due to a delay on route to our second mountain we were unable to complete the full 3 peaks challenge but even despite this our group had such a great time!
Darren our guide was just great! He really kept us in good spirits and done a great job under hard circumstances! He is so knowledgeable and experienced and just an all round nice guy! Carl our driver was also great, funny and friendly! We really enjoyed being in both their company, just as well as we were stuck on the bus for a lot longer then expected haha!
Even though we couldn’t complete the challenge I think everyone really appreciated the slower pace at the last mountain, in snowdon and being able to really enjoy the beauty of it all! We had such fantastic weather and views so that sort of counteracted the bad luck with the traffic!
Darren really was great and he even offered to take us back to do scafell pike at a later date if he can fit it into his diary which was so lovely of him!
Overall it was still a great experience and one I would highly recommend to anyone! It’s tough but worth it! Thank you again for all the efforts made to give us a great weekend!
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)

Myself and my partner attended the Canoeing Across Scotland and Wild Camping trip in August 2021, led by our professional and enthusiastic guides Chucky and Ed. We met a great group of people; learned the basics of canoeing and portage; and thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the outstanding natural beauty of wild Scotland. The weather even stayed unseasonably sunny throughout! Would recommend to others 10/10. Thank you :)
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
This was a great trip, Joel our guide was knowledgeable, approachable and good fun. The pace was flexible and the views amazing. Strenuous enough on the ups but still manageable if you have a good level of fitness. Accommodation is basic but clean, but that’s all part of the adventure. The food was good especially on the 3rd night in the Yurt. Definitely recommend this trip especially if you can only fit in a few days.

Absolutely recommended. Chucky and Jim host this and make the trip. Brilliant with beginners and happy to ensure you get what you want from the experience. Would do this again.
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
What an awesome experience. You need to be quite fit as we averaged around 10-16 miles per day. The views were incredible and the hosts Chucky and Jim were brilliant. The food was decent considering we were wild camping, I expected it to be more basic, however don't expect restaurant quality as it all has to be brought with you in the canoes. There is a lot of moving canoes on wheels between locks so expect to work hard, an bring smidge and a net for the midges

Very enjoyable trip. All logistics well organised, hotel very nice, Rob our guide was extremely friendly and kept our spirits up when the weather deteriorated. Another good Skyhook adventure and I look forward to booking another one soon.

Had a fantastic weekend. Rob (guide) did a fantastic job looking after us and keeping us safe in some quite horrendous weather. Darren (driver) also did really well getting us to the starting points. Would recommend going with this company

Outstanding trip from start to finish. Very organised, excellent instructors keeping us safe at all times while ensuring we had a trio of a life time. The journey in our kayaks across the Jurassic coast was spectacular, a trip I will never forget. Accommodation and picnics on the beach was also wow. Great trip, many happy memories built thank you. Great hike and seamless experience from pick up to drop off. A big thank you to the Atlas Vertical team, especially to our guide Ibrahim who expertly was there to support every step of the way (he also made the best tangine we had during our time in Morocco). Couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate my partner’s 30th birthday by summitting Toubkal.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Well organised event by Mountaineerin on behalf of skyhook. Rob our mountain leader was fantastic! Well organised by Simon too. The drivers do an amazing job. The whole event was brilliant from start to finish. So happy I booked this event, as a solo female traveller, I definitely booked with the right company.
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
A really unique experience. Stunning scenery and we had beautifully prepared meals and snacks throughout.
Lots of help if needed with tents and equipment, and everyone in the group was supported if they had any particular preferences. Stephen was flexible and accommodating and very knowledgeable, with a wealth of experience and an keen eye on safety throughout. I would highly recommend for singles, couples and families. I hope to return soon.
Travelled on: Canoe & Wild Camp Across Scotland
I went on the Kayak the Jurassic Coast trip and absolutely loved it. The instructors, Mel and Alex were brilliant, the whole trip was well thought out and planned. I can't wait to book more trips with this company, including this one again next year!
Travelled on: Kayak the Jurassic Coast
This was one of the best trips I have been on. The information before hand meant I felt prepared and had a good idea of what to expect and we were so well looked after. Everything was well organised and Stephen gave us great tips to get us started on the water, even if we were initially rubbish at steering :-). The scenery was amazing, the group a hoot, the food brilliant (despite dietary quirks), and the wild camping gave you a sense of being in the wilderness. Loved it and can't wait until my next adventure.
Travelled on: Canoe & Wild Camp Across Scotland
I booked this trip last year by myself,i was a little apprehensive about doing this and who my guide and team mates would be.But as soon as I met Stephen I just knew I had made the right decision and after also meeting my team mates knew this was going to be an amazing trip and adventure.
It didn't take me long to feel safe with Stephens professionalism and knowledge.
The Information that was on the website as to what I needed to take was very accurate and any questions pre trip were answered promptly.
All the equipment that was provided was in great condition.
The meals that Stephen cooked were outstanding and plenty selection for us who had special dietary requirements.Nothing was to much bother for Stephen to give us the best experience..I had the best time of my life meeting Stephen and the rest of my team.We laughed until our heads hurt the whole time. But when we met more challenging waters Stephen made sure we were safe at all times.
The evenings that we had wild camping by the Lochs and camp fires are memories I will truly never forget.
I feel I have made friends for life through this trip and it definitely wouldn't have been possible if Stephen wasn't the guide he was.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone and I'm looking forward to meeting up with the team again soon for our next adventure.Thank you so much to all at Scottish Rock & water as I know their team is also amazing and deserve praise too. This trip literally meant the world to me.See you all soon again X
Travelled on: Canoe & Wild Camp Across Scotland
Excellent trip with stunning views. Every stage is new and wonderful, an absolute voyage of discovery. Fell in love with Scotland. Given all the food is taken in the canoes it was fantastic quality and vegetarians well catered for. You do have to carry the boats and equipment everyday so be prepared to pitch in. The leaders were amazing , knowledgeable and so much fun. Top quality equipment and even in stormy weather my tent was cosy and dry.
Travelled on: Canoe Expedition Across Scotland
What a brilliant trip!!!
The scenery was excellent and although tough at parts was extremely enjoyable.
A must do trip for all. Gave me a true love of kayaking. Guides and food was great too. Can’t recommend this enough.

The trip and everything about it was amazing! Kilimanjaro is a trip of a lifetime, but it is extremely difficult. There was no way my partner and I would have made it if it wasn't for the guidance and assistance our amazing guides and porters provided. Having an a great group of people that care for you as you ascend the mountain is just what you need to summit. And of course, the food is to die for. Awesome portions and great flavor.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
Stunning spectacular trip , Jon and Mel funny and informative . Pretty much glamping in a camp site with great views to Corfe Castle. Kayaking with great guys taking the lead , don’t miss this one.
Travelled on: Kayak the Jurassic Coast
Amazingly epic trip! Probably the toughest adventure I have ever done, but worth every ache and pain. Our guides William and Elias, and the rest of the support team were terrific and made sure that we were always safe and ready to go. Camp food was delicious and tent/sleeping gear was surprisingly comfortable and warm. Great service from both Skyhook Team and local team as well as good hotel accommodations before and after trip. Looking forward to my next trip with Skyhook.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
I don't even know where to begin. I wish there was a way to describe this adventure as it was more than a trip-of-a-lifetime. With the uncertainty of COVID-19, Skyhook and the local team were amazing, from my delayed flight to organizing a personal tour of Dar-Es-Salaam during my long layover. The journey to the summit with my fellow companion was nothing but amazing, including a New Year celebration with a bottle of sparkling juice. Our guides, William and Elias, and the rest of the staff became family, and after a long day hiking, Edward's (our chef) food warmed our hearts, especially on pizza night. How the porters do what they do I will never know, but we never had to worry about reaching camp and not having our tents and our belongings set up as well as popcorn and hot tea. I would recommend this trip to anyone, and I am already planning my next trip with Skyhook.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
Absolutely fantastic weekend on the St Bernard snowshoe pilgrimage. Tom was professional, friendly, and immensely patient, especially with complete beginners like us. I would 100% reccomend, definitely the trip of a lifetime with experiences we'd never of had otherwise. Thanks for an absolutely phenomenominal weekend, hopefully our tingly thigs will recover! (and you get to cuddle lots of dogs, what's not to love) 🐶

This was a great trip. All of the employees that were involved where positive and helpful. We also had to work with the restrictions and changes due to COVID. Despite Norway going into lockdown the day we arrived, skyhook and the hostel we stayed in were fabulous. We were kept up to date throughout and thankfully the ice climbing was still able to go ahead. Tim the instructor was very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Overall, the trip was a great introduction to ice climbing.

Travelled on: Mount Toubkal Winter Ascent (4,167m)
Great trip, team was fantastic but i did suffer altitude sickness throughout the trip so if i would to do it again i would take a longer route. In the mornings, just as i started to feel better, we continued higher and again i could feel it. It is a popular destination so you will see/meet a lot of other groups/tourists along the way which kind of takes away from the beauty of it.

Just got back from another amazing trip with Skyhook .The old school hostel is outstanding providing hot showers with heated flooring and also a sauna . A drying room and work bench with tools for sharpening crampons and ice axes .so great place that has everything you need .In the lounge area is a massive kitchen to use and cook your evening meals. A log burner fire and comfy seating to relax after a day of ice climbing. Skyhook have hit the nail on the head with this course . Catering for every level from beginner to experienced. The ice climbing is amazing with multiple locations to choose from. The instructors are top notch and super qualified . very nice people and pass on lots and lots of knowledge. once again..... Thank you Damien and skyhook for a great trip.

It was just me from our Kilimanjaro group, who stayed for safari. Kilimanjaro is an unique challenge, but the African experience would not be complete without safari. It takes only two days to visit Tarangire and Ngorongoro and I would say it's a must. Both have beautiful nature and spectacular wildlife. With a bit of luck one can see big five in just two days. My guide Joseph anticipated well wildlife behaviour giving me a chance for some nice pictures. He also drove safely all the way from Moshi and back and in the parks. It was a very nice addition to my Kilimanjaro trek
Travelled on: Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater Safari
It was a really good experience and trip all together. I highly recommend this journey for everyone, but one thing to make clear, it's not for unskilled hikers. This trip takes bit of an experience, otherwise the person who attends it can easily fail. I mean I thought I am experienced enough because I climbed up till 2500 meters but this was different, I really felt it and it wasn't easy. The acclimatisation hike was the hardest for me, after reaching the peak was way more easier but still I should have a mental fitness to reach myself with the thoughts "I can do this". We started around 5.30 and it was pretty cold and heavy wind, and close to the top is the hardest cuz I saw the peak and still it took another 10-15 minutes to reach it on rocky road in the heavy wind. So it's not that easy how it seems and it takes bit of an experience I think.
But I am really happy I made it and we reached the peak first, so it was really great. Food and accommodation was as I expected and it was pretty enough for all our needs. :)
Travelled on: Mount Toubkal Winter Ascent (4,167m)
From the minute I arrived at the airport and immediately saw my driver, all the way to the summit, and then back the airport, the Skyhook team took care of us every step of the way. At first I was skeptical because skyhook offers prices drastically lower than any of the other companies. But on day one of the trip, I knew there would be no issue. They have the best equipment, porters, and guides on the mountain that are experienced and more than happy to help. If you are looking to climb Kilimanjaro, look no further.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
Would I like to do it again? Most probably not.
Am I happy that I did it? Absolutely.
Our small group was lead by Bruno, who ascended the mountain more than 250 times. Under such experienced leadership it was still very challenging. As Bruno said before the last night climb to the peak, it's not about training or peparation, it's about the willpower. But I guess it's combination of both that takes you to the top. And the trek crew, without which it would be almost impossible. Although my bag arrived some time later than me at the first camp, but during the rest of the days the guys earned my full respect and appreciation of their hard work. Overall, very well organized tour from a pick up at the airport to the Uhuru peak and equally importantly all the way down. Very positive experience.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
Without a doubt it was fabulous trip full of challenges which tested my limits. Our guides Bruno, Ilyas, Noel and the rest of the team was thorough professionals with great sense of humour and looked after our needs to the best. I am forever indebted to their warm melodious hospitality. The information provided by Skyhook was generic from their website but no further communication took place between us regarding the group details and follow up has not been provided. I would have expected more details on the trip before I landed in Kilimanjaro. Overall I am satisfied with the excursion.

I loved this trip to combine my love of the snow from my many snowboarding Holidays and my enjoyment of climbing into one adventure. I’m not as experienced in climbing as my wife but this didn’t matter as you didn’t need any experience (it does help to have some but this is just to make it more enjoyable). It’s Very well organised. You learnt a lot in such a short time. The instructors were very patient and encouraging and their love of the sport showed, encouraging you even more.
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Best trip I have done! I love snowboarding and recently have got into hiking and other adventures. I have been climbing for 2 years now and this trip was so lovely to bring together some of my hobbies, my love of snow and the great outdoors and my passion of climbing. I can’t thank skyhook enough for this wonderful experience. The pictures didn’t even credit it enough how beautiful it was.
Tim and Lars were great patient instructors and loved sharing their passion of this sport with us. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing experience. One of the most organized and friendly hostiles I've ever been to! The guides were both extremely informed, well spoken, and just great people to hang out with. The first day of the improver course we all got together did some climbing and review of basics, and then broke up into smaller 1:2 ratio groups to go over goal specific stuff.
I learned a lot, had a blast, and will definitely be back to Norway in the short future. 10/10 recommendation for this course.

My husband and I just finished our trek to Everest base camp in Nepal and it was incredible! It was the trip of a lifetime. Our guide lakpa sona and his awesome dad/guide nuru were especially exceptional! Lakpa was everything our group needed and more. He was very knowledgeable throughout the trek and made the entire experience more enjoyable. Although our tour group started as strangers we ended as friends, including lakpa. We were a bit crazy at times but lakpa stayed professional throughout while still making sure we had a great time. Not only was he our guide for EBC but he stayed with us till the end when we finally departed Kathmandu (even after we missed our flight). He knew cool places for us to go and made sure we enjoyed our trip while staying safe. Also big shoutout to the porters! We would not have made it to the top without any one of them!! Would thoroughly recommend to any family or friends.

We did a 12 days EBC Trek in October with Skyhook and their fantastic team from Freedom Adventures (Phura Gelzen Sherpa, Phura 2, Anil Raii, Santosh Sewa and all porters). The trek was simply unforgettable. We were very well looked after from the moment we have landed in Kathmandu. The accommodation in the city and in the mountains were great, places we have eaten offered variety of tasty meals, we had access to hot showers and wi-fi wherever that was possible. Trekking was never boring as Phura and his Team entertained group with songs and dances and they were supporting us during those difficult times making sure we are drinking water and taking breaks.
We truly had an amazing time from start to finish and will highly recommend Skyhook and Freedom Adventures to anyone who is looking to do EBC or similar trip. Huge THANK YOU to all for looking after us and for those beautiful memories you give us!

In September/October 2019 I went on the Kilimanjaro trek, Machame route, and it was the most incredible experience of my life. The guides (Michael, Noel, and Lawrence) took the best care of the entire group and specifically me when I was not feeling the best. There is no way I could have done it without their expertise. Also, not enough can be said about the service the porters provide, our tents would be set up and ready to go before we got to each camp, the food was really good, and they were all super nice. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone considering it. My group I went with are currently planning another trip together because of how much fun we had and the bond we made with each other.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
I will not be able to say enough about how awesome this experience has been! After nearly 6 months of preparation it all came together and went exceptionally well with the guidance of skyhook and their incredibly talented primary guide, Furaa Sherpa. Furaa did a fantastic job! His emphasis on safety, camaraderie, having fun, and assessing our strengths and areas for growth was phenomenal.
Skyhook put together a fantastic team comprised of lead Sherpa, Furaa, assistant guide, Sunil and two Porter’s. We were challenged appropriately and all four of us successfully made it to Everest base camp. I will always remember this experience and look forward to utilizing Skyhook in the future for other trips (currently booked for Kilimanjaro in October!). I have no reservations regarding their competency to put together these kind of adventures safely and efficiently. I Highly recommend.

I booked the group trek to Everest Base Camp. What a fantastic trek with an amazing group of people and guides! Pujan, Tika and Ngima were first class and made sure we were safe, enjoyed ourselves, educated us on the region and became friends that I shall stay in touch with. We had a 100% success rate on reaching base camp, which I can safely say was down to the guides expertise and help from the porters; Pradip, Ngima, Padam and Ramesh. I hope this team can continue to work together and bring success to many others! Thank you for an unforgettable holiday and providing a great service.

From start to finish, this trip was well organised and well planned. The guides were brilliant and i met several new friends! You do need some level of fitness for this mountain but there is no difficult climbing involved.
Well worth the money and i whole heartedley recommend doing it, don't put it off. Just do it, you won't regret it.

Had an amazing time on this tour. Our group of 7 all made it to the summit, and the porters were fantastic. We were led by Bryson, with support from Innocent, Stanley on most of the walks. The rest of the team ensured we were fed, watered and comfortable at all stages. They looked after us so well, amazing food, support and energy throughout the whole trip. The route is great. It is challenging, so you need a good level of fitness, however it achievable thanks to the experience of the porters. Thank you Skyhook and Ahsanti tours for making this an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this trip, and will be booking other excursions for next year.

I'll admit I was a little nervous with the lack of communication in the days prior to the trip but that is literally my only issue. We were met on time and from that point everything was organised fantastically. The accommodation in all 3 locations was beyond what I expected and the food was good enough that I'm surprised I didn't put weight on despite the hike. Our guide was called Abdel - he was good fun and very knowledgeable. He made sure we moved at a good pace but never more than we could manage. The summit at 4 am in particular is an obvious highlight of the trip as you make your way up using head torches (buy a good one - mine was rubbish!). I'd recommend the trip and Skyhook massively and the company was brilliantly represented by Hussein and the Moroccan employees.
