The best experience ever, perfect organization, very tasty food, and the professional and very nice guide (Grant Fulton). The we had a fantastic weather which added into the overall experience. 5* Skyhook - well done.

Best trip ever. Soo well organized and we didn’t have to worry about anything. Just show up and go. A trip of a lifetime and very reasonable.
Thanks

What an amazing time I had! Where even to start!! Jack our tour guide was incredible! He was very knowledgeable and helped everyone out a great guy all round. The accommodation was good, it is what you expect from this sort of holiday lots of sharing and the odd snorer! Food was amazing and really great value for money. Can’t wait to go on my next trip with Skyhook. Everything was smooth from start to finish!

my trip to Kilimanjaro was absolutely fantastic, the service from both Skyhook and the team in Kilimanjaro was excellent and nothing was too much trouble, even down to the birthday cake a bottle of fizz they provided for my birthday. thank you.

Have just come back from 4 days trip of tour du Mont Blanc. Very well organised. Our guide Sarah was very friendly, experienced and professional. Absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you

Just back from Mount Toubkal and what a fantastic trip. From start to finish the team looked after us really well. Hussein and Omar were really great guides. Lots of chats and laughs and most importantly encouragement.
Both Riads were really nice and the food was excellent. The mountain lodge is noisy but that’s what you get in these types of hostels so it wasn’t an issue.
The 2nd day of hiking is long and it’s difficult enough so you do need a good level of fitness. But the views were so worth it. Overall a fantastic experience, the trek, the people and the fantastic company. I would def recommend.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Beautiful scenery in Atlas Mountains. Accommodation in mountain hut perhaps not the best but I understand there isn’t much choice up in the mountains! Guides were decent, overall a successful trip, would recommend to others.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
This is literally one of the best things I have ever done. The accommodation was miles better than I expected. The food, cooked fresh every meal time was amazing, and there was so much of it. Absolutely delicious. The guides, porters, cooks, hosts, there are no words. And the cherries, oh gosh.
I met some wonderful people I now call friends. I pushed myself beyond my limits. I lost my toenail, got altitude sickness and was totally overwhelmed when our group finally disbanded, but I will never forget how wonderful the whole experience was.
I cannot fault Skyhook as a company. Every aspect of the trip was so well organised that I simply cannot find a single negative thing to say. I will definitely use them again and I have already recommended them to my friends and family.

This was a great adventure guided west very friendly and jolly which made for a fab trip wud highly recommend
Travelled on: Salkantay Trek To Machu Picchu
This was an amazing trip. The guides were knowledgeable and had a passion for sharing that knowledge with us. It was a challenging hike but a trip that will never be forgotten.
Travelled on: Salkantay Trek To Machu Picchu
I booked Salkantay Trek with Skyhook earlier in the year, and arrived in Peru in May. From the booking, the pick up at the airport, to the dropping off, everything was top notch. I knew what was expected of me, and what they were providing, clear and constant communications that flowed well. During the trek we were treated so well, we were fed like royalty, the guides gave us so much knowledge, and responded to our group so well. It was my first trip of a lifetime, and I look forward to more using Damien and team at Skyhook!
Travelled on: Salkantay Trek To Machu Picchu
All in all the hike was great.
Our guide, John, was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and plants.
The pace was very slow at times but that’s just because we had some unfit people in the team that John expertly managed.
The reason I’ve only give 4 stars is just because we found the food a bit bland. This is just a personal view, but we personally would have liked some more Kenyan and African food.
I would still recommend this trip to anyone.

An amazing short trip , just like I like it:
1) Cool crowd
2) Very adventurous
3) Physical demanding

So, just finished the best guided tour of Mont Blanc I could ever have imagined.
The trip started out as a bit of a nightmare with airport delays and the most expensive taxi ride I have ever had!
The stay at Vert Lodge was very nice and the evening meal we had was extra special.
The first day meeting everyone was made easy by our guides Tom and Guy and the laughs started even before the briefing.
Tom was always open to ANY questions at any time along the route 😁 and both Tom and Guy were very knowledgeable on everything about the region.
The pace was perfect and at no time did we feel any pressure, just as long as we enjoyed the experience and we all truly did!
Such a nice group of people I can honestly say, I have never met before. Such a good laugh and supportive all the way, no dramas and always flexible all that was needed was to enjoy the amazing scenery.
Book it, do it, you will NOT be disappointed.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish .
Kathmandu is a captivating city .
Well organised trip
Guides and porters were brilliant and so hard working and knowledgeable
Nothing was ever too much trouble
The only negative point was due to airport having maintenance done we had to get to
Ramachep airfield, a long hot rather unpleasant journey to stay in tents at a campsite ! I advise finding a room if this happens again
Breathtaking views throughout the Himalayas
And I’ve made so great friends too
I’ll deffo be back to Nepal someday soon
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp Hike (16 Day Trip)
This trip was an epic journey made very interesting and fun by everyone. The relentless efforts by the guides and porters unsured it all went smoothly. I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone. The weather could'nt have been better even though having to take the helicopter back to Kat £400 it was my mistake as flight home was too soon. The shops were full of good mountain gear at very cheap prices so buy stuff out there. Well done Skyhook and freedom!

I can't praise skyhook enough for this trip, it was organised to perfection. Our guide Sher and the team made sure we were well looked after say all times, they were really knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The experience itself was the trip of a lifetime and I can't recommend it enough

Amazing Trip! Sher Phunu, our main guide, went above and beyond for us, and his connections throughout the region allowed us to meet the Hillarys who happened to be in Nepal at the time, and get us into opertional base camp to meet his brother and cousins who are climbing Sherpas. D See Hansha and Ang Cerpa, our assistant guides, were amazing as well, and did everyting they could to make an amazing trip for everyone. The hard work of our porters does not go unnoticed. Amazing people, Amazing nature, and an unforgettable trip for sure.
100% recommend this trip to anyone!

Everything about the experience with skyhook was amazing!! my wife and I had so much fun ice climbing in Norway that we just booked a hiking adventure in the Swiss Alps for next summer!!!

What a fabulous time I had on the beginners course. The hostel was amazing. Excellent instructors Lars and Callum, a totally unforgettable experience. I will be back.

I've now been on three ice climbing courses with Skyhook, and each one has been excellent through and through.
Ice climbing can be a daunting activity, especially if you don't have vast amounts of climbing experience (like myself), but every single one of the instructors that I've worked with on the courses has been fantastic, doing everything in their power to put you at ease and allow you to have an enjoyable time, while also pushing your limits.
I would not hesitate to recommend Skyhook and, in fact, I will most likely be back next season for some more ice climbing.

I enjoyed the trip & the experience. The Ice climbing was spectacular. The Hostel is great although under renovation, that being said there were other hostelers that showed no consideration for other guests and were blasé about arriving late at night when people were sleeping, then bringing all their shopping into the dormitory. If that wasn't frustrating enough, they then proceeded to wake everyone early in the morning too! I and 1 other changed rooms. The other issue I experienced was the fact that after I hired a car Skyhook continually failed to put me in touch with the other participants of the group I was in. I could wait no longer for the flights (Prices going up) so booked my flights. Skyhook then said it was unable to put us in touch because of data protection. I did eventually make contact with one other member about 3 weeks before the trip via the faceook group however that participant came on a different day The other 2 participants never joined the facebook group. So I had to bare the whole cost of the car, a little frustrating at Norwegian prices. A tad galling too that my car was then used to shuttle the group around!
To sum up, although a couple of negatives, the trip was fantastic, the Guides are excellent, the Hostel staff were fantastic & very helpful, just a small group of the fellow guests that were not so.

It was an amazing experience. I was taken care of ever since i landed in Kathmandu until my departure. The guide(Pujan Sapkota) and the assistant guide (Benja) were great and they took care of us along the route. The porters were amazing. They helped not only with carrying our bags but also by brightening up the mood every day. It was an amazing experience and service and i am really thankful for all the people that helped us get to our final destination!

Adventure of a lifetime!
I just got back a while ago from my trek through the Himalayas and I still cannot stop thinking about the incredible, life-changing experience. Let me start from the beginning... I had always wanted to trek to the legendary Everest Base Camp, and decided that 2018 would be my year to accomplish my goal. I wanted to go with a reputable and fun trekking company, and researched many companies in the process. I came across Skyhook on Facebook and was immediately intruiged. From the start, I was impressed with Alan and Damien, as well as the stellar reviews of their trips. I knew I had to sign up, and booked the trek for October 13th shortly after.
From my arrival in Nepal, I knew I had made the right choice. Our guides were all wonderful, and became fast friends. Everyone in the group was such a joy to be around. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people. The porters were always all smiles and hard working. I would not have completed the trek without any of these people.
As for the trek... it is simply unreal. Walking amongst some of the highest peaks in the world really humbles you. It makes you dream of reaching higher mountains and walking on more treks. And it's not just the majestic Himalayas. It's the culture. It's the food. It's the teahouse experiences. Be prepared to be in awe of the landscape. Be prepared to fall in love with this place and the people that live there. Be prepared to fall in love again with life, and daydream about future treks in the area. Be prepared to miss the mountains like crazy when you go home.
I cannot wait to go on another trip with Skyhook; they are the best!

You get off the plane at Kathmandu and skyhook take care of the rest . Outstanding service from every single member of skyhook . You are whisked away on a journey of a life time . Porters and guides are amazing people and won’t let you lift a finger . A trip I’ll never forget !!!!!!
Thank you skyhook

Absolutely fantastic trek to EBC. Everyone involved in the trip a credit to the company. I think Kilimanjaro is on the cards...????
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp Hike (16 Day Trip)
Where to begin? From start to finish you're well and truly looked after and will quickly realise that you're not a customer but have become a friend of the Skyhook Team. Damien is super approachable, friendly and helpful and will go above and beyond to ensure you have an easy and awesome experience from the get go. Then there's the trip itself... I can't really put into words what a life changing experience it has been. The EBC trek is mesmerising with breathtaking, unforgettable views and scenery. The Nepalise culture will suck you in and you instantly feel immense peace and joy. The trek itself has been well thought out to ensure you have the most enjoyable experience possible with minimising stress every step of the way from giving you time to really take every moment in, to the guides who bend over backwards around the clock. On that note the guides and porters are incredible! The best part of the experience was our guides! Leading the pack was a man who hands down won over everyone's heart. He truly was a inspiration to all and one of the most beautiful souls I've ever had the pleasure of coming across. This trek alone was worth every penny just for getting to spend time and get to meet this lifelong, amazing friend. Much love and respect to you Hari, Namaste! ???? As for the young guides Lahkba, Raj and Benji, these guys run around for you constantly and have your back constantly. True legends and also now lifelong friends. What an amazing experience and cannot wait to book onto the many other trips Skyhook run! Thanks legends ????????

Did the Mt Toubkal trek with Skyhook and it was incredible. From the communication and help before your trip to the knowledge and helpfulness of the guides they use during your trip. Just how well organised it all was. Couldn't have asked for anything better! Definitely want to use them again for trips like this.

We recently retuned from a three days trip to Jebel Toubkal, Atlas Mountains. It was an amazing trip, I would return anytime in a heartbeat! Incredible scenery!
Going with a small group with knowledgeable guides was a great decision as they knew the beaten path sites. Every day we were well informed about the plan for the day and the itinerary. The guides added a lot to the overall experience, they took great care of us during the entire trip.
Also, we didn’t had to worry about the accommodations, the food/water or the transfers from/to the airport.
Everything was well planned and adjusted according to the group’s needs.
Highly recommend it!

What an adventure, but be prepared!
I spent the Easter weekend snow holing with Skyhook adventure. A pretty intense couple of days in the Norwegian countryside hiking up a mountain and then learning how to build snow holes (igloos!), which you then overnight in! Fantastic experience, which I’d recommend for sure. Our two guides were fantastic. Conditions are intense however hitting a low of minus 20 Celsius overnight. Do make sure you bring the right gear - and enough food for dinner and breakfast in the hostel the night before as well as lunch on the glacier (the company left this off the prep list, which was pretty frustrating resulting in a last minute scramble to find an open store late at night - challenging at the best of times but particularly Easter wkend!). Experience of a lifetime though!!

So much fun and in such a beautiful place, I have never been anywhere so scenic before. Very well organised and felt completely at ease despite being in a new country and not knowing anybody else on this course.

Having just come back from a Skyhook Multi Pitch course in Norway I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend these guys to anyone!! Informative, encouraging, friendly instructors and guides and climbing that is just out of this world!!!
We will DEFINITELY be back for more - thank you Skyhook!!! :):):) xxx

Excellent course, caters for all abilities and I felt pushed to go further than I imagined I could by the instructors Callan and Tom. People who have rock climbing experience found it much easier but the course catered for all abilities. I would definitely return.
I would advise the company, though, to warn people that the local supermarket is closed on a Sunday so for any course starting on a Sunday it’s worth bringing your own food to cook at the hostel. Also the shoes needed for the climbing should really be provided, as they are specific to ice climbing and should be considered “kit”. Apart from that everything was excellent.

My second visit to Rjukan with Skyhook. Another great experience and I'm sure I will be back. Managed two long multi pitch routes and plenty of class bottom roped routes practicing lead screw placement and steep ice technique. Our instructor Tom was great at striking the right balance of keeping things fun and keeping us focused and getting our efficiency up to speed. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to develop their ice climbing.

I would highly recommend the beginners Ice climbing course. As somebody with no climbing experience I was a little hesitant but the friendliness of the instructors Alan and Tom as well as the support of the others doing the course I quickly got into the swing of things. I went to Rjukan by bus from Oslo bus terminal via a connection in Notodden and found it to be a stress-free journey. The ice climbing itself is really good fun and the scenery is spectacular to say the least. I can’t recommend it enough 10/10 from me :)

A fantastic week in a magical part of the world, with some amazing people. Excellent course, catering for a full range of abilities. Professional, engaging and inspiring instructors, clearly pursuing their passion in life - the outdoors! Ryan Simpson's & Tim Oates attitude towards personal development (ensuring each member of the diverse group, no matter what their prior experience was, felt challenged) was commendable. The "Ryan and Tim double act" really made the week! Ryan made our multi-pitch days a real adventure, a pleasure to climb with & learn from and a huge asset to Skyhook.
Tim & Ryan were both 100% committed to blending absolute safety, fun and learning. I would trust them both with my life on any mountain in the world and can't wait to return to climb with them again.
Thank you guys!

This was my third trip to Rjukan for ice climbing and the second in two years with Skyhook. Like last year, it was a fantastic week of climbing
I was in a group of fun individuals with varying abilities and experience. The expert instructors ran the course very professionally such that all benefitted greatly (and equally). The feed back from all the instructors, to individuals, during the course was superb and timed such that we could put the advice to use during the climbs.
The venues and climbs were selected progressively so not only were they fun to climb but helped address weaknesses uncovered during the course. In addition to the climbs, we were given de-briefings in the evenings to discuss progress and and objectives for subsequent days.
Fantastic week - I'm planning on going back for another week next winter!
Travelled on: Advanced Ice Climbing
After having a fantastic time on the beginner ice climbing course, I returned a week later for the multi pitch course. Another incredible experience! This course is really designed to improve climbing technique and teach new skills and is very well structured to achieve this. We covered everything from building ice anchors, and placing screws to dealing with weather forecasts and analysing avalanche risk. Many thanks to all the instructors involved, in particular Ryan and Tim who spent some very long days with us.
Travelled on: Advanced Ice Climbing
I decided on a whim to go on this course after I saw the Facebook ad. I climb indoors regularly and had been ice climbing once before. The course was amazing. The views were stunning and the climbs were varied and so much fun. But the best part was the people. Our group was super cool and friendly, and our guides, Ryan, Alan and Anya were super cool and made sure to answer all our questions and even tailor their instruction to each of the attendees needs or goals. Ryan taught us the basics of ice climbing on the first day and a lot of us were trying harder and harder routes by the next day, and Anya was super in tune w everyone and giving betas and coaching us up the ice. The experience was truly excellent. I plan to stay in touch with them and hopefully come back for the more advanced courses. Thanks guys!

Had an absolute amazing weekend filled with fun people, learning new things and playing around in Winterwonderland.
Our instructors, Ryan, Allen and Anja were all amazing, giving us all the support and guidance we needed to climb up those walls of ice! Thank you for this awesome weekend! Definitely coming back for the multipitching climbing course!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
This course was huge fun and located in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The drive from Oslo is quite long (3.5 hrs) and icy so I recommend you hire a decent car (not rent a wreck) and leave as early as possible to arrive in time for the briefing on the first evening. The conditions were extremely cold coming from a warmer climate so I also recommend you go totally overboard on down jackets, fleeces, mittens and thermals, as you are outside all day in temperatures up to -20 degrees. You also arrive and leave the waterfall as a team so be prepared to stick around for the whole day.
Ryan, Alan and the team do everything to help you stay warm and focussed on the climbing. Best coaching and help from Ryan who really makes this trip so easy and so much fun with lots of laughs!!!
The cabins at Rjukan caravan park are fantastic and spacious and heat up very well. You can hire towels and hairdryer.
Tips: think about bringing your own thermos flask, coffee, tea and nice food and snacks as you will really need it. Recommend putting heat warmers in boots & mitts before you set out.
*Always bring bathers for the local pool and jacuzzi afterwards.
Tremendous trip and I can’t wait to be back next year for the multi pitch course!!

Great weekend learning to ice climb as a complete beginner! Great bunch of people in our team and running the course, Alan and Callum as our instructors were great, and made both days super enjoyable! Thanks guys!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
This was a lot of fun. Physically enjoyable especially if you give it your all, and ice climbing is just a really cool activity, pun not intended.
Great location, though maybe accommodation info could be made clearer beforehand e.g. we didn't have a toilet or running water in the cabin. And they should really do something about the ice on the footpathaths so that a walk to the parking doesn't feel like a struggle for survival.
Otherwise the course is suitable for beginners (never done rock/mountain climbing) and the instructors - Ryan and Callum - were very knowledgeable and approachable. Not to mention they made the atmosphere super friendly which provided for great banter with the group. Recommmended!

Ryan and Callum are the best ice climbing trainers ever. It was not just about the technical stuff either as they were such warm hosts in such cold weather!

Me and my friend went on a Multi pitch course with Tim and then later in the course Lars. This was absolutely amazing trip. Included with the course is a hostel wich was really nice and cosy with sauna and a dry room for the equipment. The staff over there were very welcoming and nice to chat to. I learned a lot from Tim who was patient and easy to understand, he is a great teacher and fun to hang with. We feel like we got every thing that we came for and more

Just done the beginners ice climbing course in Rjukan, Norway.
Alan and Lars were both excellent instructors, catering to everyone regardless of your previous experience level. They’ll direct you in the right way whether you’ve got no prior climbing experience at all and just want to have a fun weekend doing something new, or if you’re a serious climber/mountaineer looking to get stuck into a new style of climbing.
The places we went to were breathtaking and beautiful. I met a lot of lovely people, and had some excellent experiences.
We stayed in a very comfortable hostel with good facilities, WiFi, and even a sauna.
All in all, excellent weekend, and I’m already booking a return trip to Rjukan to try out some new routes!

I had an amazing three days of beginners ice climbing in Rjukan with the Skyhook Adventure team. First time in Norway, the country and people were absolutely beautiful. Alan, Andreas and Lars Petter were all amazing. They made us feel very welcome at the Old School Hostel. They were great instructors, with a lot of patience. I had a blast with my group of fellow climbers and loved every minute of the trip, I’m looking forward to my next one. I would definitely book with Skyhook Adventure again.
