What a phenomenal adventure! Not for the faint hearted this trip is so highly recommended. A great physical challenge on some tricky terrain but extremely rewarding. We were very well looked after with our fabulous guide Hussain and cook Ahmed. Delicious food in abundance, stunning accommodation in imlil and Marrakesh. Hussain read our group so well and ensured that each and every one of us made it safely to the summit & back down - a very impressive feat!! Very highly recommended. We unfortunately missed out on the included massage in Marrakesh as the ascent / descent took us almost 15 hours. There was also some confusion about the final meal but all hiccups only minor and easily solved by Lahouceine.

Excellent trip. Loved it. Hotels were great. Only down side was being kept waiting at the airport on arrival for a couple of hours. Also how the situation was handled when one of our team was struggling with altitude, could have left an uncomfortable feel. It is being dealt with now, and feedback given. We did feel a bit at the mercy of the guides and not always consulted on things. e.g. the meal on the second night, would have been nice to have at the hotel instead it was at the owner of the companies house?? Great food, but meant we didn't have time for our so called free massage etc.

Everything was well ran by skyhook food timing accommodation etc except for 2 thing s 1. Our guides had very poor English and we struggled to understand eachother. 2. I fell on the Mt Toubkal Morocco and cut my hands badly in a number of places the guide had no first aid kit not even a simple band aid - very poor service indeed

Both Guides Kush & Birdhoj where fantastic made the trip possible for myself to achieve. Giving us lots of insight into local traditions and religions as well as life in Kathmandu. The scenary was amazing and I was fortunate to have an amazing group of fellow trekkers with me. Possibly the hardest and most memorable trip I've ever made.

I enjoyed my trip very much. It was amazing, definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Kush, our guide, was just great and he managed the entire trip excellently. I did not put 5 stars only for one reason: the trip has a lot of hidden costs that I was not informed about at the start, but throughout the trip I realized that my budget had to be suddenly expanded. For example, in the guidelines from you it says that 400-600 USD is recommended for food. The reality was that I had to spend around double the amount; in addition, we had to spend on a helicopter on the way back due to weather conditions. It would be great if you advised us that a probable 1,000 USD extra has to be budgeted for a helicopter in and out from Lukla. If people are on a tight budget, this definitely is stressful. Perhaps it would be great to update your website with all the extra costs. But overall I enjoyed the trip very much.

Like other reviews have already said, this is an incredible experience. The unsung heroes are definitely the porters who work their asses off (no pun intended) to keep ahead of you and provide delicious meals. **NOTE** we were lulled into a false sense of security by the first day. The second day is a step up in difficulty - waking up at 3am after sleeping in shared bunk bed rooms, and dribble of a cold shower, it's hard graft to get up to the summit through steep icy patches and a sheer drop, scrambling, and all the way back down over 12 hours or more in total. The altitude also took it's toll on us, so I would definitely say it was at least 'demanding' rather than 'moderate' as advertised. Also it would be good for Skyhook to recommend what tip to give for the porter and guide - luckily the others in our group had done similar trips before so advised us what is typical. Lastly, I would highly recommend staying on for a night in a riad in Marrakech.

Unforgettable trip! Our guide Mustafa was brilliant, the scenery was astounding and the walk wasn’t too hard for anyone who has done a few mountains before and is relatively fit. One thing that could have been clearer is that you should keep your passports in your day sack - they will be checked by the authorities as you go up the mountain.

What a great experience. If you are trying to persuade yourself to do this trust me just do it. You won’t regret it. (Even in the wet season)! And you will be proud of yourself for achieving this. Overall, Great communication and planning by the team. The whole team were super friendly and helpful which took away any stresses related to that. The hike itself. They scale the support team well so you have a head guide / chef and other support staff carrying the heavier bags/ tents / food etc. you will only be carrying your day pack. You are going to be amazed how quickly and effortlessly they can carry these items up the mountain. Most days aren’t too long in terms of hiking (depending how fast you are) but give you ample time to acclimatize. The summit day is something else. Depending how fast you are you will leave anywhere between 11pm and 2am (maybe later if you are even fitter) to reach the summit for sunrise. I would consider myself pretty fit but found the summit day pretty tiring, especially the last push before Stella Point. You won’t regret putting the effort/ training in before. Food was great too. Considering you are camping you still get freshly (and tasty) cooked hot meals and packed lunches on longer days. Pro tips: 1) I would highly recommend paying extra for the portable toilet. I read the same online before I went and opted for it and after seeing (smelling) the toilets on the mountain I’m happy I paid the extra 😊😮 2) wet season clothes A poncho is not optional but a MUST. It rained every day on the hike. When it poured it really poured and I was thankful I had a poncho and great rain gear. Trying to dry clothes / gear between days is limited so this will save you putting on wet trousers again or having a wet bag. 3) camp entertainment As mentioned some days aren’t the most demanding and you have sometime to kill in the camps. I had audio books but had downloaded a few episodes/ movies. Make sure you download quite a few. They weigh nothing! 4) pillow Bring an inflatable pillow for the camping. 5) extra treats The supporting team really appreciated sharing the treats brought from home. 6) safari make sure you do a safari. I had one day spare at the end of the trip and opted to go to the ngorongoro crater. Even though it was a super early start (3am) it was amazing and out of this world. Lion king in real life! 7) wet season Don’t necessarily be put off by the idea of hiking in the wet season. Besides from dealing with the rain the benefit is there are not as many people hiking / camping. There were only 5-6 other tourists I saw hiking. Looking at the size of some of the camps I can only imagine how busy the mountain would be in peak season.

I don't know where to start with this review😀. The trip has been amazing and rewarding and felt much longer than the 5 days. From the very beginning I was looked after by some of the warmest and most friendly people you could wish to meet. I was met at my Riad in Marrakesh on the first morning which saved any stress trying to find the meeting point. We saw many things on our way to Merzouga like Dades Gorge and Tinghir which was my favourite. Our guide in Tinghir was such a cool guy. The night in the desert was very special. The guys running our camp were brilliant and the tent was so comfortable plus the sunrise on camel back was something else. And as strange as this might seem, yes we did have Wifi in our desert camp 🤣The journey back from Merzouga to Marrakesh is a full days drive so be prepared for that. Our driver stopped enough times to give your legs a stretch but it's a long day. The most memorable bit for me was the climb up Mt Toubkhal. Ibrahim who was my driver from Marrakesh to Imlil picked me up in Marrakesh and drove me to my Riad in Imlil. He was literally sitting waiting for me in Marrakesh so again no stress at all. Ibrahim met me again after the climb and took me to my hotel back in Marrakesh, even though it was hard to find😀 It was pretty seamless and well organised the whole trip. I have to pay special mention to Hassan who was our guide for Toubkhal. I have rarely met a nicer, kinder human being and he looked after us the whole time. Even when we were a little hungry on the first day up to the Toubkhal Refuge he shared some of his and another guide Jamal's own food to tide us over until dinner. So generous and kind. We got up at 2.30am and climbed Toubkhal the next morning in time to see the sunrise, amazing. We were back in Imlil for lunch, had lunch with Hassan and that was the trip over really. Mustapha who runs Moroccobestvisits was in touch with me every evening via whatsapp to check how the day had been and arrangements for the next morning so again this helped to avoid any stress with arrangements etc. What an amazing country Morocco is and my favourite memory will be how amazing the people are. Genuine, warm and so helpful. Book this trip for memories that will last a lifetime😀

This your is essentially split into two parts - the hike and the desert trip. For the hike, due to Eid, we were not collected when we should have been and no one communicated this to us until we panic messaged through Facebook (would be fine if they had communicated about this with us). The hike itself is amazing!!! The views are beautiful but the climb is brutal. Our guide mostly stayed over 100m ahead of us while hiking which I found odd, especially when the climb and descent is tough and you could easily get hurt. Luckily we didn't!! We were not told the price of crampons/sleeping bags until we were about to leave Imlil at 6am after being told that they were included the day before (I was expecting to pay for these and surprised when they said they were included, so it would be good to know in advance what prices are - they asked for 100dh per set of crampons plus 50dh for the sleeping bag). We also had to go back from Imlil to Marrakech rather than go straight from Imlil to Ait Ben Haddou which meant we had extremely early mornings every day of the tour. The desert tour we joined a great group on a minibus. There is a LOT of driving and mostly only very quick photo stops but the desert is so beautiful and the sunset and rise on the camels is amazing. I think worth three long days driving. The thing most people did not like is that you get no options for lunches - you are taken to a restaurant each day that is not close to anywhere else so you have to pay the high tourist prices for quite average food. The bus driver was a great driver but we were not given much information from him as to stop times or what we would need for the tour. We were taken to a shop for scarves/sunglasses for the desert but they weren't really necessary while we were there as there was no wind and so no sand storms. In short - communication could definitely have been better all round. Things happen eventually but you aren't given much information (e.g. stopping at the side of the road and waiting a while for the car to pick you up for the camels). But this tour is quite an efficient but exhausting way to see amazing places. Just be prepared to be shattered and sore afterwards!!

This was my first multi day hike so I don't have anything to compare it to but I cannot imagine having a better experience anywhere else. Our guide Raul and his Alpaca team of porters and Chef made the entire experience unforgettable. The scenery is simply amazing. The personal touch added by Raul with his extensive knowledge of the people and their traditions as well as everything about the flora and fauna of the area made it all come to life. I am returning from this trip with a new love and respect for the people of the Andes. Machu Picchu was the final destination but the journey there was equally impressive.

What a beautiful trip! Everything went smoothly from beginning to end, the accommodation in Imlil was fantastic and the whole team there made sure all guests were looked after. The organiser, Hamid, was brilliant and very helpful, and our guide Hassan, was fantastic. The trek is very impressive and the views breathtaking. Be prepared for a intense climb, but it's absolutely worth it. So much so I wouldn't mind doing it all again! The refuge at camp base is very basi, but it does the job for the night, some cold showers will certainly keep your muscles ready for the treks 😊. A great experience all in all.

There was a few ropey moments in marrakech, people trying con you and constantly trying get money in any way they possibly could. That aside the whole experience was incredible. My husband and I are coming up to 55 years old (so older than the average or so we thought) It was tougher than we anticipated because unfortunately the weather wasn't as kind to us despite it being April/May. This was a trip we had been planning for many years and due to several different reasons (including covid) this was our 5th time lucky!! From the minute we were picked up at Kathmandu airport we felt we were in safe hands. Sanjeet was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much for him.... including fishing my mobile out of a toilet (lesson learned!) His knowledge about the history of the Nepal and the trek itself was exemplary. The trek itself tests every sense and requires mental perseverance but with the help of Sanjeet and our assistant guide Ngima (who will make a fantastic guide) They were trained in every eventuality. This trek builds friendships and makes you focus on working as a team in order to succeed. We have definitely made lifelong friends and numerous memories. Its really difficult to put into words the amount of gratitude we would like to.... To Skyhook and Freedom Adventures - THANK YOU <3

This trip has been a long time in the coming given the pandemic that hit the world so dramatically, however the trek did not disappoint on ANY level. The trek itself was very challenging on times especially through the dramatic climb at Chola Pass, however given the expertise, guidance and direction of our awesome guide Kanchan who not only controlled our pace, ensured we drank enough water to avoid headaches and fatigue, and monitored and observed our physical performance made it possible for all our group to reach EBC without the onset of altitude sickness (which was a concern for myself). The Trek was amazing each day and offered the most spectacular of views and reaching EBC was extremely emotional. I recommend Skyhook for any adventure you want to undertake, they are professional and hold the welfare of both the participants and that of the support staff at the heart of their package. I can't recommend this company highly enough as it surpassed my expectations.

What an incredible experience. Pictures don't do the views justice. You are frequently surrounded by 360 degree views of mountains. The main guide Kanchan and supporting guide Uttar were amazing. Kanchan was so supportive and encouraging and did everything he could do to make sure the whole group succeeded. He was also very knowledgeable of the names and stats of all the mountains and regions that we hiked through. Uttar was incredible as the supporting guide, he made sure we got everything we needed. It was also amazing to see him complete the route in trainers and tracksuit bottoms. I would highly recommend the route that includes Gokyo Lakes and Cho La Pass as it takes you off the main EBC route on the way up. It is definitely more challenging, but that was what we were looking for, the experience of this route is truly superb.

Hats off to Skyhook the whole trip was superbly organised from start to finish and for what you pay it is great value for money. Our guide Lahouceine was superb and had the patience of a Saint. The food was also superb along the way. It is worth noting you do need a good level of fitness to complete the hike and unfortunately half of our group of six never made it to the summit. Admittedly the second day of walking is a long one but more than doable providing you are capable of walking up to 10 hours at a steady pace. Thank you Skyhook till the next time.

Reaching the summit was euphoric, but much harder than expected. Thought it was advertised as medium hike? It was especially hard without a guide, our guide left us to concentrate on the slower member. The trip up and down the mountain plus a hike back to Imlil, all on the same day, seemed rushed and very intensive. Maybe an extra day required. Quibbles over equipment costs, not as advertised, spoilt the experience a little. Base camp bunk house mattress spacing very cosy! Take earplugs and don't expect much of the shower/wc facilities.

This was an amazing hike, but very challenging. I would say the recommend training in the Q&A section ("jogging or sport 1-2 times a week, in the run-up to your trip") is not enough. You really have to be fit and previous hiking experience definitely helps. Otherwise the pace is ok, with enough breaks to catch your breath :) Would recommend a hammam in Marrakech after the hike :)

While this trek is difficult, every corner turned is another magnificent display of the wonders of the Himalayas. As amazing and beautiful as this trek was, the people, specifically Prem and Ngima (our guides) made this trip unforgettable. I feel like we made lifelong friends on this journey. The best part of the trek was the people you get to know but the perseverance and resiliency that is gained is invaluable. If you want to, you can take much more away from this trip than just pictures and memories. You leave with a stronger sense of pride and mental fortitude and with more friends than you started with.

Brilliant adventure, well organised by Freedom Adventures. Our guides, Prem and Ngima, were excellent - kind, patient, knowledgeable and lots of fun. We always felt safe and well looked after and they went out of their way to make sure we carried on having a good time even once the trek was over and we got back to Kathmandu.

An incredible experience! We had the best time on our Toubkal hike! Mohammed, our trekking guide was amazing! Day one we walked to Toubkal Refuge, stopping for a big lunch on route. We arrived with plenty of time to sit in the sun and enjoy the mountain scenery. Fun to be in the refugue with people from around the world expericing the Atlas Mountains. Day two we were up early and using crampons in the snow! With Mohammed's positivity we were the first at the summit for sunrise! It was hard work but worth it for the incredible views at the top of Toubkal. We were well fed the whole trip with lots of tasty Moroccan dishes!! The hospitality from the whole team was so welcoming, we will return to do a longer hike one day! Thanks to both Mohammeds for the hike & food, and the rest of the team for the warm hospitality in Riad Bab Imlil.

Amazing trip, our guide Hassan was excellent, sorted out somewhere for us to rock climb the day before our trek started as we requested, on the trek he kept checking we were acclimatising well which neither of us had any issues with, remember your ear plugs for the night in the refuge, the food has been beautiful, and the view on the summit is spectacular. Thank you skyhook. And a very big thank you Hassan.

Well what a time we had! My friend pippa and I climbed to base camp with our amazing guide Hamed ! I found it enough not to do the summit as I was pretty exhausted . Pippa made the summit the next morning . We all trekked down , I will say it’s not an easy one, do not under estimate this climb . Our guide was the best! Hamed looked after our every needs and was very calm .can’t recommend him enough. Our driver Aziz was also very good! That’s quite a drive up to the Sahara through the mountains etc . He was a great driver. What experiences we had of Morocco! This trip is one I will never forget ! Get booking people! iv posted a few pics

I’ve seen flora and fauna like never before, seen beautiful birds and animals, ground coffee beans, seen many Inca sites including Machu Picchu. My guide Sergio was excellent, full of knowledge and experience and looked after my every need. You get a super chef who provides more food than you can eat every day to a la carte standard.

This is a fantastic trek but not for the first timer. The route up is not the standard Everest Base Camp trek and is a lot harder. We came down the standard route to Everest and it is a lot easier than the beautiful Gokyo Lakes route on the way up! Our guide Ngima and Kabi the porter were brilliant and totally looked after us all the way. They were well equipped with first kit, oxygen etc if we needed it. (I'm sure we will keep in touch). The trekking part of the trip was approx 16 days, we walked over 100miles through all types of weather, blizzards, rain, thunder and lightening and a 10 second earth tremor(a very long 10seconds). The sun was hot but you needed cold weather clothes for temps around -22C on one morning and sun screen to not get burnt. Tea Huts were welcoming but all cold except for the heater(only after 4pm) in the dining area. No heating in bedrooms, sometimes no electricity or running water anywhere except the kitchen where the food was prepared! I'm sure it was warmer outside than inside some of the time! None of us bothered taking a shower till we got back to Namche Bazaar (14days) which is where wet wipes do a proper job. The food is quite basic but plenty of it in the Tea Houses, I eat like a Yak but still probably lost around 5kg in weight and consider myself to be quite fit. The rewards for all the hardships were amazing views, experiences, emotions, memories which we all had together like a family that will last a lifetime. Thanks to the local travel company Freedom Adventure who work out of Kathmandu and of course to Skyhook who I've used 3 times now without any problems. Would recommend for people who like a bit more adventure than the standard trips!!!

It was a super mountain hike with lots of challenges and I wouldn't have expected so much in such limited conditions. Our super tour guide Ngima and his assistant Kabidhan were very professional, caring and helpful, most importantly they were there for us. They did everything to make it comfortable and possible for us to reach our goal. We had become the best team and one family. We have received so many experiences, emotions and memories that it will remain in our hearts for a long time, like the best trip ever. The conditions were much tougher than I had anticipated. There is an endless winter in the mountains. The teahouses were very cold, essentially as cold as outside (the doors and windows were always open), some of them were dirtier, the last one had no electricity either day or night. So definitely bring a down sleeping bag (-25 degrees). Bring warmer clothes, extra arm and leg warmers for early morning hikes, plenty of wet wipes and hygiene items, as local conditions cannot be taken into account. Also bring plenty of cash or as suggested earlier. But generally you will survive :) Thanks to the local travel company Freedom Adventure, who organized everything well, always punctual and fast, with pleasant service. And also a big thanks to Skyhook Adventure for this amazing mountain hike. This is the second time I have used your service and I am very happy that I discovered you. I highly recommend!

Superb trip. Hamid at the accommodation in Imlil was super friendly and attentive. Hassan the guide and Ahmed the porter and cook were a pleasure to travel with. Hassan was especially intuitive regarding giving me space to enjoy the mountain without feeling too crowded but also always there if needed. I was initially booked for January as I wanted full on winter conditions but had to cancel at the last minute, eventually I managed to go in March, the conditions were still sufficiently challenging for me to feel I achieved something but clearly there was a lot less snow so therefore only really about 3 hours of crampon work to the summit. Temperatures still hit -15C with the windchill but with the right gear thats very manageable. I was very fortunate that on my trip to the summit it was just me and the guide Hassan which made it feel that bit more special, we did not quite reach the summit in time for sunrise but were still in a great spot when the sun broke through and we then had almost 30 minutes on the peak without seeing anyone else. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who would like to push themselves a bit but doesn't want to do anything too 'crazy' just yet. Skyhooks local partners do a fantastic job from start to finish. One needs to be prepared for some hard graft on summit day and capable of dealing with pretty crowded conditions at the mountain refuge but the food is great and the experience well worth a bit of discomfort here and there ... which is after all part of the adventure.

An amazing experience from start to end. Shushan was readily available to answer all my queries before travelling: I recommend adding the pick up and drop off service. The first morning I was greeted by Mutaz, and his knowledge, passion and personal touch immediately brought a friendship and he felt like one of the group; if you're lucky to have Mutaz lead your group, you'll have a great time and leave with a friend in Jordan as I have. We were lucky to have Awdeh and his donkey Marzouka support us along the trek, and along with the Bedouin personnel we were very well looked after, and the food was amazing. I think 2 things people who read this would appreciate to know: if you want a camel ride book early in Wadi Rum and don't let the local guide rush your experience at Petra, as this is not led by Experience Jordan, however it is included in your experience. Seeing Petra was a dream of mine, and one made all the more valuable and enjoyable thanks to Mutaz and Experience Jordan adventures; I can't recommend them and this trip enough, thank you.

Hostel is really well resourced and prime location for the best ice climbing spot in Europe. Instructors were excellent, enthusiastic and great teachers. And the climbing, unreal fun. 10/10. Worth bring a small sleeping bag although they can provide bed linen and food is expensive generally in Norway so budget accordingly. The trip is impossible without hire cars to access the climbing spots and also if possible a return flight on Monday, not Sunday is advisable to manage fatigue. It's about a 3.5-4hour drive with breaks to the airport! Conditioning your calves and grip strength beforehand will ensure you can squeeze a bit more out of the climbing by having a bit more endurance.

Unfortunately a bad snow storm stopped us from even attempting Toubkal and we had to spend the whole time in Imlil just doing day hikes for 3 days. Two of the days were trekking in heavy snow and strong winds so didn't get very far or see much. Obviously beyond anyone's control and safety was put first. However, whilst nothing can be done about the weather, it didn't feel like we were a priority anymore and our guide for the 3 days did not seem particularly interested in us or the hiking. Although, the staff at the riad in Imlil looked after us well and Lahouceine made an effort to liaise with us and join us one evening and expressed his disappointment in not being able to take us to Toubkal which was much appreciated.

I loved every minute of it! I was a total beginner to ice climbing, having done 2-3 indoor / outdoor rock climbs in the last 20 years so not as experienced at all. Apart from the fact that I had to use public transport from the airport which took forever to get me to the hostel, the rest of the trip went like a breeze. I was in touch with Jakob who ensured someone at the hostel was waiting for me as I reached at 11pm to give me a quick tour of the hostel, had my bed ready and kitted me so that I could be out with the others the next morning by 8.25am! The hostel (should have a name in the front and back) is comfortable, clean, warm and equipped with the right facilities for an ice-climbing adventure. They have dry rooms, spacious kitchen and lounge area and dorm beds with curtains. I arrived solo but the remaining 11 from the group were friendly and quite up for the challenge so we had a great time both climbing and socially back at the hostel. The instructors Oliver, Saleeka, Matilda and Peter are knowledgeable, respectful, funny and ensure your safety all the time. They do encourage you to try as many climbs as possible. I did a total of 7.5 climbs over the two days of varied levels of difficulty. The locations are picturesque and enough to get your not-so-adventurous friends wishing they'd join you. Overall, highly satisfied. PS: If you're looking to use public transport to get to the hostel, the best way is to do the following: 1. Get to Oslo bus terminal as they have regular airport buses to Gardermoen (40 mins; Flybuss operator) and Torp Sandjford (90-mins; VY operator). Oslo bus terminal is sheltered with apaid-toilets, self-store luggage facilities, cafes, water fountain and airport style bus destination and platform announcements 2. From Oslo bus terminal take VY bus to Notodden bus terminal which has a sheltered waiting room with paid toilets. Roughly 2 hours 3. From Notodden, take bus no 185 to Rjukan (1 hour) and tell the driver to stop at the Old School Hostel. The bus stop is within 30mts of the hostel entrance. Use the same route to & fro. Do not get off at Lysaker or Drammen as these are outdoor/unsheltered bus stops and you and your baggage will be exposed to the elements as I found out the hard way. It also involves crossing over busy roads to get to the correct bus stop and there are no lifts one side of the road but lots of steps if you are carrying heavy luggage. Stick to main bus stops and you will be fine. It will take 4-5hours depending on traffic and wait times for buses.

Amazing time in the mountains. Imlil is so beautiful and calm. The hike is quite long but really rewarding in the end. Summit view is breathtaking. Way down from the Toubkal summit to Imlil was really hard in the end due to fatigue, and altitude sickness but overall largely doable (watch out for the couple of following days with pain all over the body). It was a fantastic experience, our guides, Michael and Amos were excellent, always there making sure everyone was ok and ready to help with everything, they made sure the only thing that would stop us from reaching the peak would be something like altitude sickness, if at any point someone needed a bit of help with their day-pack, or climbing a specific part like the barranco wall, they were always there to assist. The cook did an amazing job, the food was excellent considering where we were, and most important it was a great diet for the climb we had each day. What can I say about the porters? Amazing guys! My only but, the one thing that really annoyed me was on our last day in Tanzania, after the climb and after our Tarangire and Ngorongoro safari we received a call from Holyfield via the hotel manager to inform us that we would have to pay $50.00 for our transfer to the airport the next morning, I argued that this was included in the Kilimanjaro booking, but he informed me that as we had booked the safari too, the transfer was not included. This makes absolutely no sense to me, we booked the safari through Skyhook as well as the climb, I think it is a disgrace that you charge for the airport transfer simply because it is on a different day when the change on the date is due to us booking extra activities with yourselves.

It was my first skyhook trip and after this, I would do another for sure.

Tom highlighted many interesting sights and stories along the way which enhanced the experience, learning about the landscape and wild lives around. Highly recommended to someone thinking of exploring the journey to St. Bernard monastery, or simply trying snow shoes hiking for the first time! A priceless experience with the best guide in the world Words cannot describe how special Motaz, (our guide) made this trip. The trek itself was filled with beautiful landscapes and magical scenery, it’s as if you are transported to another world. But this 8-day trip was even made more memorable by the hospitality of all the guides, cooks, drivers, and helpers (shoutout to Odeh and his donkey!). Motaz’ genuine love for sharing his knowledge and culture was felt by everyone in the group. I could not have asked for a better guide, teacher and now friend. When I go home I will take with me the best memories and amazing connections with a group of the kindest people who all share a passion for adventure and beauty. Very colourful and the guides and chefs are with you from the accomodation to the peak of Mount Toubkal so you get to know them well. The Refuge on summit night was clean and fitting for one night at that height. They helped me when I felt nervous and each guide was professional and an expert in his field. A fantastic trip. Experienced guides knew what they were doing. Felt safe at all times. Food was amazing, especially considering they carried it all the way. We were fed like kings. It’s a tough hike given altitude and amount of descent the 2nd day so it’s not for the unprepared. We were fortunate with the weather, it might have been a different experience otherwise. Only minor complaint was the amount of stops on the way up meant I got very cold waiting around, but I understand it’s tricky to have a big group all hike at the same pace. Hand warmers helped.

Such an amazing experience - proper local rural economy, everyone so friendly. Our guide Hassan was amazing, with us all the way and helping with crampons up the top, as well as making us amazing meals with the rest of the guides up and down the trail as well as in the refuge. Really tough for us, our first “proper” mountain summit though we are regular walkers and spent some time in the alps earlier in the year, also via Skyhook. Would recommend massively, even for solo or couple travellers it’s an experience never to forget! My trip was absolutely memorable. Rachid the driver was absolutely calm and a relaxed person to be around with. And his boss kept checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly. It was easy and enjoyable the sightseeing and travelling. Unfortunately, I got the flu during my trip with the worst case of it. I have never had it this bad. I was travelling alone with another couple and Rachid the driver. The group was cohesive and easy to be with. Despite being sick I enjoyed my trip very much. I am definitely planning to do it again. I highly recommend going on this trip. It's okay if you are a woman travelling alone, the tour company will accommodate you and you will have the most amazing experience. Oh and riding a camel in the Sahara desert is quite an experience in itself. Its indescribable how awe striking beautiful the desert can be in the different shades of the sun light. And even more stunning the night sky. This is a must do, it is once in a lifetime experience. I give it a 5 star even though I was sick. I still enjoy myself.

Fantastic trip. Got to see all of the main sites of Morocco without the stress of having to organise transport and tours ourselves. Rachid our driver was very accommodating and happy to fit the schedule around us. The majority of our guides over the week were great. Muhammed in Fes was brilliant. I would avoid the Atlas movie studio in ouzazarte if given the choice. Overall I would definitely recommend.

This was an amazing trip, I had a ball. The trip was well organised and the places we stayed in were just right. It was really good value for money. The food was fantastic, the countryside and people. I met a fellow trekker at the airport and we spent a few hours in Marrakesh before being picked up for the journey to the Atlas Mountains. The only two minor details to prevent it from being perfect were that I think the driver who collected us from a hotel in central Marrakesh should have had some official ID on him, we were a little concerned when he called for us. Also, our mountain guide was a little uninterested in us. He was continually in a hurry and seemed a bit too interested in getting us to and from our destination. I felt that he was just doing his job, I would have liked a bit more information about the area and the mountains. He was a good guide and very efficient, it just seems his heart wasn´t in it. The trek was very demanding, but absolutely amazing.

What an experience! Firstly our guide Rob was fucking fantastic..he knows the mountains so well, plenty of experience&Such a lovely down to earth man!Darren our driver was just as nice&got us to each mountain safely&efficiently. As for the trip itself, this isn’t for the faint hearted. I booked this around 2 weeks before doing it with no experience of mountain terrain, no training&i never wore my new boots in.. I’m a big gym goer and kept up with Rob well but the boots killed my ankles. The walking pace is strong&quick obviously to be able to complete the 3 peaks in 24 hours. Ben Nevis, fab, Scaffel Pike in the night is tough so make sure your concentrating. Snowdon, we managed to get to the ridgeway but we turned back round as winds were hitting around 60mph the further we were climbing. Shame but absolutely over the moon that Rob put our safety first&we got down. For me this was a personal challenge, my mindset was and is, you never give up. I proved to myself that with a strong positive mindset you can overcome pretty much anything you want too☺️ Thankyou sooo so much to Simon At Mountaineering for answering all my questions the week before. Thankyou to the team I had as well, I couldn’t have had a better experience xxx

Have to hand it to our Guide (Rob) who was very professional throughout and guided us through the challenges encountered on different parts of the course. The 2 drivers were very good and were witty too. The one downside was the Hotel, I think this should be of a bit higher standard really? Excellent trip in all respect. Had an experienced and skilled guide (Hassan) who managed our pace perfectly, pushed when needed and held us back where appropriate and was always calm and relaxed even in the difficult conditions we had on Toubkal (snow, cold and windy). Atlas Vertical is flexible enough in their plan/schedule that when a change in conditions at Refuge forced a change in the accommodation plan it was managed fairly well in rather difficult circumstances and the acclimatization day is shaped to the client as needed. I recommend taking the equipment list on Skyhooks website seriously, especially if going in late summer or fall as conditions can be almost winterlike if unlucky with the weather. The Kasbah is perhaps not luxurious but quite nice (recommend the hamman) and Riad Nisma in Marrakesh is very good.

Having just returned from my trip, I can’t thank Hussain and his team enough for making the experience so awesome and unforgettable. From the moment I arrived in Marrakesh the communication from Hussain was excellent, with him ensuring I was fully aware of the arrangements for my transport to Imlil, and then with regards to the plans for my trek. I would certainly recommend the luxury trip if you’re in a position to choose this option, with Kasbah du Toubkal being a beautiful venue to relax and to prepare for the adventure. Additionally, the private room at the refuge was really welcomed, with it giving me privacy to relax and I didn’t have to worry about being disturbed by the other travellers during the night. I have to give a special thanks to my guide, Hassan. Hassan was extremely accommodating throughout the trek, and he always appeared keen to share his knowledge about the landscape and the local culture. He was also very considerate to my well-being, routinely checking whether the pace was ok, and he offered encouragement when the hike was challenging. I will forever remember the trip and I’m hoping to plan a further adventure with Skyhook in 2023. Dan Weatherby

Dan is an asset to the company and I must compliment him for his amazing technical knowledge, stories, friendliness, warmth, and hospitality (especially his cooking skills). He made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and had a great time on the tour. Especially on the hike, he made sure that everyone was safe and also took the group climbing above pulpit rock which was an exhilarating experience. The first day was tough - I always thought I was reasonably fit, but hiking in the Peak District was nowhere near this; our first ascent up the Tizi Mzik pass was a good 2 or so hours climb up from Imlil to the top (just over 700m ascent). At the top we stopped for a drink at the cafe (the fresh orange juice is a must on a hot day!) and then for lunch slightly further down the valley. A few more hours of hiking downhill and we came into the village of Azzaden where we stayed overnight. Accommodation is basic but comfortable - we stayed at the Gete Anfa Idâissa; there’s wifi, hot water, etc. Amazing hearing the sunset prayers echoing through the valley. The following day we set off about 9:30am after breakfast, prepared by our cook. Then set off on a slightly easier route, back into the Imlil valley - although we didn’t go back to Imlil. We instead went to a picnic spot just off the main road into Imlil (from Asni) near the river, where we had lunch (again prepared by our cook) and finally my ride back to Marrakech. I had a wonderful 2 days; Omar was lovely and so helpful and patient - especially given my knee started to be a problem at the end of the first day and he had to walk backwards down the mountain to make sure I got down safely. I can’t wait to come back again - it was an absolute pleasure.

What a fantastic trip! It definitely exceeded my expectations in every way. My favourite part was of course the camel ride and the overnight stay in the Sahara desert - out of this world experience! I would recommend the trip to everyone. I travelled alone, but met lots of lovely people throughout the whole trip.

This is not really a review of the trip but an advice. If you are not a very high efficient sport person, don't try this with this company, look for other options. I think one can underestimate the 24 hours claim. I marked three on the raiting because I believe this can be more clear in the descrption of the trip.

To start, SIMPLY AMAZING!!! This was my wife and I's second Skyhook Adventure and like the first, it did not disappoint! Previously we had done Everest Base Camp which was epic. So naturally we compared. While each were very different there were also many similarities. The primary similarity being just awesome lifelong memories! Our first takeaway was that we thought the first two days of the Salkantay Trek were more difficult than any two consecutive days for Everest Base Camp. Those first two days had a lot of km's / miles with significant elevation changes. Three from our group had to bite the bullet and get a horse to get up the mountain and we saw many others from other groups getting horses too. Mostly folks who had not prepared for that type of physical exertion. With that said, Everest Base Camp was overall much more challenging. Humantay Lake as well as Salkantay Pass were each exceptional. Many great pictures. One incredible highlight was the impeccable expertise and service of the local Alpaca Expeditions Team and Guides! Wow! Their knowledge and focus on creating the best experience for everyone was second to none. Awesome awesome awseome jobs by our "Generals & Professors" Ivan Ccorahua and Carlos Rayme! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! And when they say you have a chef.... well, you get a chef and three sous chefs making you three incredibly delicious meals every day in the field. Including baking a delicious vanilla cinnamon cake in the middle of nowhere!!! Who does that?!? And it isn't just the quality of the food, it is the attention to detail and care they also put into every meal presentation. Each morning our guide and a sous chef wake you up with a knock and hot coca tea! :-) Can't not include a mention of the very diverse make-up of our group nationalities; Peruvians, United States, Puerto Rico, Ireland, Australia, and England. That mix made it even more enjoyable and international. The overall itinerary was very accurate and probably somewhat understated at how amazing it all was. Finally, the breathtaking final day conclusion at Machu Picchu!!! Words alone can't describe the experience, the historical teaching from the guides and the pictures that will last a lifetime. We saw with our own eyes why this was named one of the new seven wonders of the world!!! Overall, a fantastic five-star experience! Prepare yourself properly with fitness, cardio and weight training and to deal with the altitude (talk with your physician). Do that and your experience will give you lifelong memories that keep giving back dividends for years to come! Logistically, plan for a couple days either side to enjoy Lima. STAY IN THE MIRAFLORES AREA. Make sure you try the Ceviche! We recommend La Mar in Lima! We would also recommend arriving at Cusco a few days early to acclimate to the altitude. The added bonus is that there is so much to see and do right in Cusco with great restaurants, etc. We recommend Organika at Ataud 154, Cusco 08000. Conclude all this with a recommendation to use the "Quick Lllama" Shuttle service from and to the Lima Airport. Reserve online. Fast, clean, reliable, great Whats App communication and only 20 Soles one way per person. That's like $6 US. Also recommend LATAM Airlines for flights to and from Cusco. Many flights daily and more reliable, etc. Enjoy and book your adventure now! DREAM BIG! NEVER QUIT! ----Kirk & Simone

It was absolutely wonderful, the views, the walks, we had a really nice group and a wonderful guide Léa. I sometimes would have loved to walk longer and higher, I thought the trek would be more challenging, but this is just a personal observation. We stayed in nice places, important not to forget earplugs since you might have to share bedroom with a heavy snorer :-). In the first and third place food was great. In the second place we had to ask for more as we where really hungry after a long day of hiking, and it wasn’t appreciated that we asked for more. Their picnic for the following day (a rice salad) was basically impossible to eat for all of us. It definitely was not worth the price. But even that didnˋt minimise the total pleasure and happiness this trip gave me! All in all perfect and once again a big thank you to our guide Léa.

Pros: - Our guide Lea was excellent, funny and knowledgeable - Amazing views - Truly once in a lifetime experience - Group dynamics was amazing Cons: - Accommodations were very basic and I did not understand when I booked the trip there would be no options for private rooms but all sleep in dorms. This can be an issue if somebody is snoring (and usually always somebody is). - The hike overall was a bit more demanding than expected - The food in the lodges was very basic and not very good in all of them

Fantastic trip, we loved every minute and felt everything was very well organised. Very impressed with the guide, activities and choice and quality of the food especially considering it was all cooked on the camping stove or fire. The only improvement that could have been made was that we stayed at the voss youth hostel the night before and had a 15 minute walk with all our luggage to our pick up point while others who booked with a different company got picked up at the hostel which would have been easier. But overall I would highly recommend, an excellent trip.

Hi, Everything was excellent. Johnson is excellent guide with good humor and knowledge of Kilimanjaro and local customs. I think the only thing what you should do is to highlight that this itinerary is actually on a harder side and not for everyone. We managed (I even developed something with the stomach on a 3rd day which made it further worse) and all three in our group summited but it was quite hard (and even “3 days of jogging” might not cut it for everyone :)). Hotels (both the initial one and extra days) were also good (the extra nights one is especially good.

Tour operator and the guide were incompetent. They don’t have any idea how to deal with different types of hikers like beginners, intermediate or expert. A hard challenge but Rob our very experienced guide worked hard to keep everyone motivated and on target to complete within the 24 hours. He clearly explained the necessary kit prep and logistics for each leg of the challenge and constantly informed us on timings every step of the way. Very patient and humorous and very good at keeping the team together as we made our way up and down the mountains.
