It was a fantastic adventure. The walking distances and altitude differences shouldn’t scare people because the guide takes time and builds in several acclimatisation days. Professional guidance! Doing this trip during monsoon season was a challenge, specifically if planes in Lukla cannot land but luckily there are choppers that always fly. The good thing about raining season too is that you’re practically alone and can even more enjoy the mountains, nature and quietness. A must do trip for any hiker.

Everyone experiences some effects of the altitude - it makes exercise a little harder, and if you try to run you'll quickly get out of breath.

However more serious effects can include high altitude sickness, which includes symptoms such as strong headaches and nausia/vommiting. In such more severe cases the priority will be to bring you to a lower altutde as quickly as possible, and/or to administer bottled oxygen. This is quite rare, but the guides are trained to deal with such scenarios.

We recommend speaking to your doctor about Diamox, which can sometimes be prescribed as a precautionary measure to help your body first acclimatise.

If you are doing a private trek (private tour), you can add extra days but it’s not possible in a group trek. In a private trek or tour, we can do it according to what you want.

You need to have a good level of fitness - able to walk 8 hours a day with a light rucksack. We recommend training before this trip with a sport of your choice e.g. hiking/swimming/running.

The maximum group size will be 12 people.

  •   A morning flight to a close distance of mountains in a small aircraft
  • The only beautiful Buddhist monasteries you can see in this part of the world.
  • Once in a lifetime ascend to an altitude of 5300 m plus

In Kathmandu, you are going to stay at a tourist standard hotel. During the trekking, you will stay overnight at Lodge/Mountain Teahouse.

If you are below 18, you need to do the trek with your guardians, there is no such age limit because we have had families who trekked with us with their kids like below 16 years old as well as senior people aged 70.

Yes, we will provide you the mountain rescue in case of emergency cases. So, it's most important to do travel insurance before you head to Nepal. One copy of travel insurance needs to submit to the company before your trip. Our guides use a local sim card to communicate to the office. If in case it happens, they will inform directly to the Kathmandu office.

It’s is not compulsory, but it is the custom in Nepal to tip your guides and porters. As a rule of thumb we recommend a total tip of around $100 per customer.
