Lake District 24 Peak Challenge

24 peaks in 24 hours on this awe-inspiring weekend, peak hopping across the English Lake District.

Itinerary

Day 1: Meet the team

You’ll meet your guide at the accommodation in the Lake District. It's here that you'll have a brief about the hike, before heading out for a pub dinner.

Day 2: Langdale Valley

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll take a short drive to your start point for the day in the Langdale Valley. The guide will start the clock at the moment you leave the vehicles and head for your first summit, Bowfell. Through the rest of the day, you’ll tackle many of the major summits of the Scafell range including:

Esk Pike, Great End, Ill Crag, Broad Crag, Scafell Pike, Allen Crag, Rossett Pike, Pike O’ Blisco, Loft Crag, Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark.

Once you’re back at the road, the guide will pause the clock, before you head back to your accommodation for a well-earned meal and rest.

Day 3: Glenridding and Helvellyn

Starting at the head of Ullswater, you'll tackle the remaining 14 peaks. Logbooks at the ready, here is what you can tick off:

Sheffield Pike, Stybarrow Dodd, Raise, Whiteside Bank, Lower Man, Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike, High Crag, Dollywaggon Pike, Fairfield, St Sunday Crag and Birks.

Stop the clock – hopefully, your combined walking time over the two days will be under 24 hours, but if not you’ll still have had an awesome couple of days in the Lakeland Fells.

We have had an amazing weekend. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area. The pace was steady no one was left to far behind. Lots of breaks for drinks and snacks or to just give the legs a rest. Very well organised

I really enjoyed the experience but feel would need to start bit earlier to accommodate slower walkers....so prob would be better to include accommodation on the sun nite into the package as would be good for everyone to celebrate what they have just accomplished....and forget about the food as breakfast isnt served until 7.30 so you feel rushed ...way easier to make your own breakfast and lunch in the kitchen provided at an earlier time....
