Itinerary

Day 1: Cycle the Inca trail short cut to Pispitayoc

You'll be collected from your hotel in Cusco at 6:30 am and transferred to Malaga Pass, which sits at the base of the beautiful Huacay Willca Mountain. After a quick safety brief, you'll jump onto your mountain bikes, and start to descend through the high Puna area and cloud forests. After lunch, you'll take one of the Inca short cuts before arriving at your eco-accommodation.

Day 2: Hiking from Pispitayoc to Santa Teresa

After breakfast you'll begin your hike through parts of the ancient Inca trail. After lunch in the village of Qellomayo, you'll head over to the hot springs of Cocalmayo, where you can relax a little before the afternoons hike to Sanata Teresa.

Day 3: Hiking from Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, you'll hike along the Urubamba river, before arriving at the Hydroelectric station where you'll grab some lunch. In the afternoon, you'll follow the old rail lines to Aguas Calientes, where you have dinner and a brief for Machu Picchu the following day.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu

You'll start the day before nice and early, to allow you enough time to get to the Machu Picchu gates at sunrise. You'll have a guided tour around this ancient city, before spending some free time exploring. In the evening you'll be driven back to Cusco for 9:30 pm where your trip will end.

Tourists from other countries will have to book and present their passport when entering Machu Picchu. You will need to ensure that this information is completed on your Skyhook dashboard after you have booked. 

Start: You'll guide will collect you from your hotel in Cusco between 6 - 6:30 am, on day 1 of your itinerary.

End: Your guide will drop you off at your hotel for 9:30 pm on day 4 of your itinerary.

This trip is suitable for beginners. You will be on the bike for roughly 3 hours - most of which is downhill, and on a paved road. 

You can expect typical Peruvian cuisine. This includes fruits, vegetables, rice, beans. The guides can cater for most dietary requirements. Just let them know when completing your registration form, which is found on your Skyhookm dashboard.
