Enjoy an unforgettable journey through Croatia’s southern Adriatic. Cruise turquoise waters, relax on deck, and go on invigorating guided hikes across stunning islands and picturesque destinations.
You will be picked up from Split, Croatia, at the central meeting point. We then take a short drive to the harbour where the boat is located. Check-in is until 11:30 AM when you will meet your crew and fellow travellers.
After settling in, we aim to depart Split for island Hvar at around 12 noon and get the socialising started with lunch and a much-needed swim stop on Pakleni island. After docking in Hvar town, we set out on our first hike to Fortica, where you can enjoy a perfect view across the sea.
The Fortica Trail is a scenic loop, generally considered an easy route. Popular for birdwatching, this trail often attracts visitors, so expect to encounter others along the way. Starting in the heart of Hvar town, the trail leads to the historic Hvar Fortress, known locally as Španjola. Perched atop a hill about 100 meters above the northern, old part of Hvar, the fortress and its surrounding city walls once served as the town’s main line of defence.
Hike distance: 2.6 km | Elevation: 84m | Approximate time: 45 mins
This morning, our boat sets off early for the Island of Vis, one of the Adriatic’s most beloved destinations. After breakfast, enjoy a refreshing swim and snorkel in one of its stunning bays before arriving at Vis town harbour in the early afternoon. Here, you’ll have time to hike the scenic trail to Fort George.
The Fort George trail, a 5.8km out-and-back route starting in the heart of Vis town, is generally considered easy. The path winds along the coastline, offering picturesque views of Vis’ coves before reaching the historic fortress built by the British in 1813. Perched on a high promontory, the fort boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic and is especially magical at sunset.
Hike distance: 5.8 km | Elevation: 97m | Approximate time: 1 hr 22 mins
Our final destination is the island of Brač and the charming town of Bol, one of Croatia’s premier tourist spots with over a century of tourism tradition. Bol is renowned for its iconic Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach, considered one of the most stunning beaches in the Mediterranean. After enjoying lunch on board, the adventure continues with a hike to the summit of Vidova Gora, the highest peak on all Adriatic islands.
The Vidova Gora trail begins in Bol and ascends to the peak, offering a well-marked route rich in history and natural beauty. The journey starts along a macadam road before transitioning to a rocky path known as Vela Staza, or the Roman Trail, built during Roman times. The initial section features a moderate incline, gradually leading into a rugged valley with switchbacks that soften the climb through rocky terrain.
As you near the top, the trail becomes steeper, winding between towering cliffs before emerging on the ridge of Vidova Gora. From the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the island’s southern coastline, the azure sea, and the iconic Zlatni Rat beach.
Hike distance: 10.8 km | Elevation: 715 m
After an early breakfast onboard, disembark at 9:30 AM. Whether you’re setting off to explore more of the region or beginning your journey home, we wish you safe travels and unforgettable memories!
