Itinerary

Day 1: Meet your guide

You'll meet your guide in the centre of Fort William, before heading over to your hotel for the evening. After relaxing by the pool, the team will get together for a briefing on the days ahead.

Day 2: Ice axe skills

After breakfast, you'll head out to the mountains and reach higher ground. It's here that your guide will teach you how to safely move on ice and snow. You can expect lots of sliding and around, as you learn the ice axe arrest.

Day 3: Emergency situations

Another day high up in the Scottish mountains, with the focus being on avalanche awareness, and what to do in emergency situations. In the evening, you'll head into Fort William for a cosy pub dinner.

Day 4: Plan your own day out in the Scottish mountains

Today is your opportunity to plan your very own day out in the Scottish mountains. With the guide by your side every step of the way, you'll put together your own route, and then hike it using all the skills you have learnt so far.

Day 5: Summit Ben Nevis

The big day! You'll put all your skills to good practise, as you head for the summit of Ben Nevis. The guide will sit down in the morning with you, and decide on the best route to take. In the evening, you'll head back to Fort William where you can head back home.
