Gerlachovsky Stit Summit

Gerlachovsky Stit is the highest peak in the High Tatras and all of Slovakia. In fact, it’s the highest peak in the Carpathian Mountains, standing tall at 2,655m above sea level. Needless to say, this mountain offers a challenging and incredibly rewarding hike. The trail takes you through fantastic alpine scenery, with endless views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. While the ascent requires some scrambling and proper equipment, reaching the summit is the biggest highlight of any Carpathian Mountain hike.

Gerlachovska Veza Summit

This peak, also located in the High Tatras, is slightly lower than Gerlachovsky Stit, but it’s still an equally rewarding hike with equally impressive views. The trail to Gerlachovska veza is less technical, making it more accessible to a wider range of hikers.
